Looks like it was some kind of automatic mail. The only possible way for the rest of us to hear is if such emails are sent in batches based on geographical location. This waiting is just nuts!
I am based in Korea, and I know that at least one Korean has been accepted.
Since we know that some Americans and a Brazilian has also received the email,
geographical location is not the issue.
In my opinion, if you go to the Anderson admissions blog,
you can see that they posted an article after sending the early batches last year and also the year before.
This article has not been posted yet this year.
And, the email was sent on 12:15 AM PST, so this was definitely an automated email.
Therefore, all I can speculate is that they uploaded a bunch of people's application status updates,
and had the email be sent after most Americans went to bed, so that they can wake up to good news.
Plus, since the admissions blog has not been updated, I hope that they aren't finished uploading.
Otherwise, a ding for me too.

How long after the decision release do they update the blog? Also, I would assume they'd finish uploading all Early decisions before sending out. So we'll probably have to wait till next month!
