Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread but looks like UCLA might be calling the "superstar" applicants to interview first. I wonder if they are maybe reviewing applications in decreasing order of GMAT or GPA. I've been following closely all the applicants getting invites and they seem to have "high" "GMAT scores. Don't think I've seen anyone under a 700 and I've been seeing a lot of 740's, 750's. Maybe these will come later. Take this theory with a grain of salt, because it's only based on my stalking this board as well as other Business School forums :)

It's 10% under 660. The class range in the middle 80% range is 660-750. So the 10th percentile in the class is 660 and the 90th percentile is 750.

That's weird the UCLA website says "GMAT Range (mid-80%) 660 - 750" wouldn't mid mean 50%?

If not that's phrased in a very weird way :)

I think its 10% below 660, 10% above 750. and 80% between 660 and 750?

mid-80% implies the "middle 80%". I.e. there is 10% above and 10% below that quoted range. How could you have a mean that has a range?
