Going to retake the GMAT on Dec 23rd so this is pretty much it. Don't really study anything anymore since I don't want to put too much burden on my self just moments away from the test. Pretty much just light reading on SC notes, some reviews on math notes, and watching DVDs 8-)

I signed up to take the test on Jan. 9th. (first timer) I took the GMAT Prep #2 yesterday for the first time and got a 660. Hoping to break the 700 mark in three weeks...

I am taking GMAT on 24th Jan. On GMATPrep tests I am scoring 650 -680. I am an engineer so I am ok with quant but being a non native speaker I am not good in verbal. My quant score on GMAT Prer test were 49, 50 but verbal scores were 29, 30  . Any suggestion.

Any suggestion which test series I should buy to improve these scores?

For Verbal the only way to improve is with lots of practice. For SC, Manhattan's guide is the most helpful. For CR and RC, I'd focus on the OG and most importantly study the explanations for all questions (including the one's you got correct).

hey all, i was to take the GMAT tomo (29th) but have resched it for 8th Jan now.

scored a 690 on both the GMAT Prep #1; and free mGmat. quant 47/48 and verbal 37/38. i started preparations only towards the end of nov and havent been able to put in a lot of practice.

i need to get a min of 720 to get a look-in from my target schools.
my main weaknesses -
quant - still a lot of silly mistakes/ overlooking a small detail. timing in the tests is also an issue. always have to run through the last 4/5 question.

verbal - RCs are falling into place. but tough CRs are the bottleneck. when i gave my diagnostics, i easily breezed through CR, but now the tough ones are an issue.
In SC also i am getting about 50% of my tough ones wrong.
so basically, going back to the basics on both CR and SC.

my study plan for the next 10 days, is

verbal - OG 11 and 10. and 1000 sc and cr. (after revising the mgmat sc). RC from OG 11 only.

quant -
OG 11 again. have also got the mGMAT challenge problems.

testing -
one paper a day from the 1st (just bought the mGmat tests). with a gmat prep on 7th.

-----------------------

how does this sound to you guys? any tips/ suggestions. Am i missing out on something?
