IMPACT OF CHANGING GMAT PATTERN ON MBA APPLICATIONS




In the original format, this is the order that is specified and you needed to take the exam in the same order. However, GMAC, in an effort to improve the GMAT experience, has proposed a few changes in the exam pattern.

Recent Changes:

Select Section Order: The changed format of the GMAT has taken effect since July 11, 2017, and according to the change announced, candidates can select the order in which they wish to take the exam. Top Scholarships for Indian Students to Study Abroad

Despite several apprehensions and uncertainties over immigration, Indian applicants continue to pick USA as the top destination to secure their MBA degree. According to a report published in Forbes, students continue to choose top schools from the USA with Harvard and Stanford occupying the top spots. Out of the international students in the US, 17.3% of them are Indians putting India behind China in the list of countries sending students to the US for higher studies.



Scholarships are the easiest way to secure an education especially for those with humble backgrounds. Sangeet Ranjan is the recipient of the Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship for the year 2018.

Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani Fellowship: This was instituted by the Reliance group to help Indian nationals in financial need. Divya started her professional career at Deloitte as a Business Analyst and worked there for about 2 years. Consulting in Deloitte made her discover her penchant for analysis. Hello

I am looking forward to apply in MBA programs for fall 2020-21 session. Could you please give me insight which programs I should choose for a career in management consulting /product management post MBA.
My Profile:
Nationality/Gender/Age - Indian/M/33
GMAT- 750 (50,41), IR-7
Academic qualification - BTech, CET, Bhubaneshwar
CGPA - 7.6/10
10th- 82%
12th- 76%
CFAL2 completed


Work experience:
A total of 11.5 years experience in technology ( 7+ years in USA (H1b Visa) and 4 years in India).
Currently working as technical Architect in one of Financial company in New York implementing Big Data and Machine learning solutions for AML.
~ Lead large teams and delivered complex projects in various financial company. .
- Certified By Cloudera and Google for the Big Data and cloud engineering.


Extra –Curricular activities/Achievements:
I play Tabla and have won various competing in college and office functions.
Work in near by temple for the temple management and prepare and serve food during various festival.
Held multiple roles in college committee during BTech.


Post MBA plans:
Work in management/strategy consulting/product management


Kindly evaluate my profile and let me know which schools Should I target. As I have 11+ experience, I will be good for executive MBA. I will also be applying for indian clgs like ISB and IIMs.

Hi Sanjeeb

Thank you for posting. A couple of clarifications - which geographies are you looking at, and are you ok with part-time programs (asking this because there is some ambiguity in using the term 'executive MBA', especially in the Indian context nowadays).
