Bad email to admission offices

Question

I just sent an email regarding deferring my enrollment (if I get the offer to the program) due to mandatory military service, and I did not realize that the receiver of my email is able to see what I sent the emails to. I sent the emails to literally 15 programs, and I just got an email from one of the departments that "it would be more professional to send it individually, or at least hide them." This was such a stupid mistake, and I might be worrying too much but would this have any effect on my chances of getting into the programs?

Sorry about the situation. Maybe send an apology note to those schools before they reach out to you. You can use this as an example to showcase to them how you deal with tricky situations by taking corrective action?

It's definitely a careless mistake. But honestly, it shouldn't impact your chances of getting into a school because no school expects you to apply to just them. Everyone knows candidates apply to multiple schools and they should still take you for merit.

As a precautionary measure, you could still send an apology note to them (individually and addressing them personally). Don't get nervousness get in the way of your process. All the best.
