I took a couple of practice tests over the weekend and scored 45 & 46 on V. I would like to bump my score toward 50 if possible. I am planning to go through the MGMAT books on verbal to drill some of the basics that I may have forgotten, but I think what I really need to do is study the hardest verbal questions possible.
I ran a search and have not found any recommendations for very hard verbal questions -- can someone make a suggestion?
I personally think the 1000 SC file seems kind of shoddy, so please do not recommend that. I am looking for high quality advanced questions.
Thanks!

You might try Kaplan 800 or a compilation of questions flowing around the forum that is called Brutal SC.
Solve GMATPrep questions. That is a good indicator of some of the 40+ level questions on the real GMAT.
More importantly whatever level of questions you solve try to get them 100% right. It is worse for you to get an easy question wrong than a hard question wrong. The algorithm will penalize you more severely for that.

I agree with Arun that one of your best sources for Verbal practice will be from Official GMAT questions, both from the GMATPrep software and the Official Guides. Most specifically, I think you should make yourself very familiar with the new questions that appear in OG 13 because they will be the most similar to what you will face on the actual GMAT.
Towards the bottom of the post you will find a a section that lists the new problems by topic. Make sure you can nail all of these problems (especially the high numbers problems) and you'll be well on your way.
use Manhattan GMAT resources. they've got twisted minds.
