I'm hoping that you're right, but I see 16 interview invites on the GMATClub pictorial. That's probably a good percentage of those who actually did apply R1...

With a fixed interview window and # of interview slots, I can't help but speculate that those invited earlier are more desirable to Booth (since they get first dibs on interview times).

*edit* this is my personal (cynical) speculation. Booth has publicly stated that the invites are sent out randomly.

except for the fact that Booth explicitly stated the opposite:

"It’s important to note that the order of how we will release decisions from Monday through Friday is random and not indicative of your admissions decision, geography or initial application date."

*no reason to worry over this - notifications come when they come. worst case scenario is like 48 hours away.

I feel the same way, and I'm not sure GMATClub is necessarily a good representation of all applicants. I know plenty of people who applied to b schools over the past few years who didn't really go on forums.

As for the 16/324 thing, I'm skeptical that there are 300+ gmatclubbers that actually went through with applying, but do hope maxo's right!

Either way I expect 50% of Gmatclubbers to be invited to interview. So at least like to see that invited to interview figure to 100 (conservative). As opposed to 16, plenty of spots to go around guys!

If by cross, you mean a red X with the word 'Awaiting' next to it, then yes I have that as well. I took and submitted my GMAT 8+ months ago. I think it just takes a bit to match up the documents, and frankly I think all they are looking for at this stage is the self-reported scores.

Not sure if I answered your question...

I don't think a large percentage of people on this site mark that they were/are "invited to interview." Last year, on this site, 18 out of 231 Round 1 applicants marked that they were "invited to interview" (7.79%) (despite 124 of those 231 later marking that they "interviewed"). So far this year, 18 out of 324 Round 1 applicants have marked that they've been "invited to interview" (5.55%).

If we're in the mood to use these small sample sizes to make irrational guesses, approximately 71.25% (5.55%/7.79%) of Round 1 interview invitations have been extended so far. That would represent a fairly equal distribution over five days. Hopefully there will be a significant number of Round 1 invitations extended tomorrow and/or Friday...
