Any reapplicants got an invite so far ? It looks like there are very less invites so far compared to last year. I hope the bigger wave is yet to come !!

Where did this "rejections only come on the last day" come from?

According to blogs on the booth website the invitation process is completely random.

That's not how it works I'm pretty sure. During the week you only get an update if you are invited. Otherwise everyone else is released at the same time. Below was from the original email from the admissions team.

Quote:

Mid-Decision

All applicants will receive an update to their application by the last day of the respective week. The update will either be an invitation to interview or denied without an interview.

"It’s important to note that the order of how we will release decisions from Monday through Friday is random and not indicative of your admissions decision, geography or initial application date."

They posted that on their admissions blog, so try not to get too worked up over each day... We have NO idea how they're releasing interview invitations.

Well according to Domotron's interpretation, it really does matter to the individuals still waiting. I agree if you get an invite, the day you get it doesn't indicate relative strength, but if rejections don't come out till Friday, then each passing day dramatically decreases our chances.

But I agree, there is no use stressing out (not like we can help it!), so I appreciate your post!

@Physics - I agree that it gets more and more challenging to wait, but for all we know, they've been trickling out invites all week, and then 80% will go out Thursday/Friday. There isn't much use in speculating - the "feeling" of ones chances getting dramatically smaller is real, but the reality could be totally different. Your chance today could be the exact same as it was on Monday. Try and keep your head up! :-D
