So pretty much the title. I spoke fluently with the occasional stammers, but couldn't maintain eye contact and unfortunately described Robert Cialdini's law of reciprocity as "you scratch my back, I scratch yours"
The question was "how do you approach people when you enter a new environment"
I said the first thing that comes to my mind is Robert Cialdini's law of reciprocity. Then unfortunately described it as "in simple words it is you scratch my back, I scratch yours" But then proceeded to say that it's about doing a favor for someone.
Literally these words have ruined my entire application

It might be a small part, but wuth a CGPA of 2.95/4 and a GRE of 315, I really needed to make such small things work in my favor. Fingers crossed, anyways
