A very good question on restrictive vs non-restrictive modifiers.
A book that is made of paper is good. => Implies a specific type of book is good.
vs
A book, which is made of paper, is good. => Implies a book in general is good. And a book is usually made of paper.
There is a similar error in E. It is talking about a baby girl who is 2nd grandchild. The girl became a grandchild by virtue of being born in that family and not because she was a specific type of grandchild which the sentence means to imply.
A. No error, cause effect due to modifier looks good.
B. Again restrictive modifier (gerund) makes the baby girl of a specific type and this is a meaning error.
C. making 'her' -> her is ambiguous here. What does 'her' refer to here?
D. 'twice over' -> does not make any sense here. Wrong usage.
E. Modifier error as explained above.
