I tend to think that this mid-decision deadline meant only one thing for the waitlisters: if you haven't sent any new information, nor indicated that you wish to remain on the waitlist, you got dropped off. Someone who comes on here to check if any other waitlister got dropped off probably cares enough to send in a note to Chicago. Others probably either got into another school and don't care or don't post on the forums.
I do like the analysis though, especially since all the other indicators from last year to this year are pretty much the same, except the percentage of waitlisted candidates. I would love to see 50-60% of the GMATClub waitlist group to get in.
