Stay positive, folks!! If anyone has doubts about Booth, let me assure you that the class of 2013 is very accomplished and diverse - this was my impression after attending Admit Weekend. I also realized that the myth "Chicago is where fun goes to die" is completely unfounded (seriously, who propagates these??). I left last weekend knowing that Boothies believe in a work-hard play-hard principle.

Good luck to you all, and I hope to see you join me in the Fall.

I would like to second what wiredo had to say. I had the pleasure of attending Admit Weekend as well and was blown away at how awesome all of the other admits, current students, staff and faculty are! Even the Dean is hilarious! It was an amazing weekend filled with informative yet fun and creative activities and social events. Have you heard about Random Walks?? https://student.chicagobooth.edu/group/r ... /index.htm I was pretty much sold on Booth before but after this weekend, I knew I would for sure be joining the Class of 2013. Please feel free to pm me with any questions you may have about Booth, interviewing, etc. I'd love to help out in any way that I can!

Hey all,

I had my interview this afternoon on-campus and it was a very positive experience. I sat in the winter garden afterwards just observing the students interact. There were a couple of behavioral interview questions "Tell me about the team dynamics in your current work environment", "Tell me about a time when you were in a difficult or challenging team situation and how you handled it." All the other questions were the ones that were listed on the BoothInsider blog.

Best of luck to everyone!

So I just had my on-campus interview with Booth today. It went REALLY well, I thought they did a great job of matching me with a second year who was going into the industry (mgmt consulting) that I am interested in. I was also AMAZED by how much I liked Booth, the students, alumni, the campus, and many of their offerings. I also heard while there that they had 62 full time positions offered to graduating mba's from McKinsey, which is pretty mind blowing.

The interview was pretty standard, but I was lucky to run into another interviewee before my interview who helped me calm my nerves and shared some of her interview questions. I can't stress how at ease I felt after just some casual conversion. My questions were pretty standard too, why MBA, walk me through your resume, why booth, and two strengths and two weaknesses. It was very conversational and flowed really well.

Capuella, did you do the campus visit too? I was the kid asking too many questions during the information session. Hope you had a good interview, and good luck on admissions.

Good luck to everyone else!

EDIT: I just remembered that I was also asked about an example of leadership. I think he liked my answer, cause he cut in a couple times to agree with me.

Congrats to all those in R2 who have been accepted. I had my interview yesterday, not sure how it went. For some reason, I was more nervous than expected.

Anyway, I wanted to know how long after your interview did you hear about your decision? As you can imagine, I'm anxious to hear. Keeping my fingers crossed for some good news.

Thanks a lot!

The adcom will try to call you but if the time difference is too great or you don't answer, then you may not get a call. Everyone admitted will get an email at the same time as the 'ding' letters go out.

Had my interview yesterday - a lot of standard 'why mba' 'why now' 'why booth' questions. My interview really prodded me a lot on my thinking 'why this? why not that?', which I liked - I felt like he'd really taken the time to think about my experiences and customize his questions in that way. I think I digressed in a couple areas, but really taking time to learn about Booth and its program made me very confident about answering the standard questions. Looking forward to hearing back in March!

Hello Folks,

I just saw this on my app page ->

Messages
We are missing your official GMAT score report.

When I took the GMAT in last sept, I had seleted Booth as one of the 5 schools that GMAC sends the score for free. I received a confirmation from GMAC on that too..

I am just wondering is it just a case that Booth hasnt matched my gmat score with my app yet or should I order for the score to resent to Booth?

Anyone else on the same boat...

I'd recommend contacting the admissions office, forwarding them a copy of your GMAC email showing that you'd reported your score, and then asking them what course of action they suggest.
