Congrats! All the best at CBS I have all but given up hope. Given I applied earlier than almost everyone here, and havent received anything till now, doesn't seem the interview call is coming my way. I know they say it can come 'any time' but the way its rolling, doesnt seem so. More like a wait for one day when all dings are gonna go out had my heart set on CBS!

Does Columbia call all their applicants who are accepted vs. sending an updated to check your application?

There haven't been any RD admits yet, but all ED and J-Term admits have gotten the phone call BEFORE the status update e-mail went out. When they called me, they congratulated me and told me that I'd be receiving several e-mails later that day. Right after I got off the phone I received a welcome e-mail, a status update e-mail, & a "decision rendered e-mail." But if you're dinged or waitlisted you just get a status update e-mail...no phone call.
