Seems like there haven't been any admits for awhile. I have been complete for almost two weeks now and have heard nothing. I wonder if they are waiting for one of the deposit deadlines to pass to see how many spots they have yet to fill.

Seems like news is trickling in...Does anyone know when the final decision date is for Columbia merit scholarships? Also, when is the next ASW?

Based on my reading of the application and website there is no separate last notification date for merit scholarship applications. It seems like they pretty much reserve the right to make you wait. Per the website they will try and render a decision working 12 weeks (late March if you submitted 1/4) but they note that being invited to interview may extend that timeline. Honestly the CBS application process for non ED applicants is the most frustrating, least transparent one I have encountered. It's all really quite annoying.

Hear ya. Though, one folk in last year'd CBS thread had to wait 14 weeks between the time his profile went "complete" and when a decision was rendered (an admit, no less!). Imagine that.

It was really quiet on this forum last week, but I wanted to share that I received an admit call this morning. The call is from an unknown number, and I received the call around 12:15pm EST.

Submitted 1/1
Under review 1/3
Interview Invite 2/14
Interview Complete 2/27
Admit 3/19

I admit I was getting antsy because some other admits waited around 2 weeks or just under 3 weeks for a decision, but decisions are definitely still coming out. Good luck to all and hope this helps!

I don't think a single person has been interviewed regular decision and then been denied... either accepted, waitlisted or still in limbo. Is this right?

I have been following this forum silently for a while but just wanted to let people know that hopefully more decisions are on the way soon for everyone since I got the call yesterday after almost a month being complete! The anxiety was killing me. Just as people said, the call came in from an unknown number.

Here is my timeline:

1/4/2012: Submitted
2/7/2012: Invited to Interview
2/15/2012: Interviewed
2/23/2012: Interview Complete
3/19/2012: Admitted! (Call at 4:30 PM EST)

Best of luck to everyone still waiting and hope you all hear back soon!

I just got the CALL!!!!!

I have been entered into a drawing sweepstakes and I was the winner for a cruise (according to the telemarketer)

I am really starting to hate them now, every time my phone goes off I go sprinting/skipping to a conference room like an idiot........

Applied on 1/4 and still have not heard anything (including intvw invite or ding). I'm thinking of reaching out to the adcoms with a nice email just to check in. Are there any experiences on this thread that would strongly advise otherwise? Going on 11 weeks without a peep and I was told at a CBS admissions event that adcoms attempts to go complete for applicants within 12 weeks of submission. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I don't think there's anything wrong with reaching out to ask if everything is still on track. That said you are probably just going to get the standard "We have had a record number of applications this year. Your application is still under review and you should be notified shortly . . ." There's probably no new information they can give you, but it might give you some peace of mind to feel assured you're not just being completely forgotten.

On a related note, a week from today marks the 12 week deadline for all of us who submitted on 1/4 and it seems like a LOT of us are still waiting. I wonder how realistic it is for everyone to expect to hear by then. I feel like it will take a few more weeks to finish all the merit deadline applications.
