Where do most MBA students live when attending SOM?

New Haven in East Rock. It’s a nice area North East of downtown New Haven and closer to the SOM than downtown campus. It’s more expensive though, but safer than some other places you might find in New Haven.

Yes, when you register there's a link to the Reimbursement request form, which you have to submit by March 1 to get reimbursed:

The amount was in the letter on the portal.

I did. There was no mention of scholarship, probably means I didn’t get any. How much did you get?

I did not get any. It was not in my own letter. I miswrote earlier.
 
Some of the other students in the char room mentioned it was in their letter.

Did you decide whether you will attend?

The other schools gave me scholarships but I am leaning toward Yale.

The reimbursement link notes that we'll be reimbursed for flights and trains only. Anyone know whether taxis (especially from Hartford) or hotels will be reimbursed? Thanks

hi is it normal that a senior admission officer would like to have a meet up with u in your country just to catch up and also a current student with similar profile reaches out to you? is this part of the ‘come to my school, we are awesome’ culture?

I think this is normal. I'm in the US, so I don't have any admission officer reaching out to me. I live in FL, so not a popular city like NYC, Chicago, LA, Boston, so perhaps they won't come to my state. I got an email from a student with similar background (my post-MBA goal). So I think this is their normal way of welcoming us to the school. The student is nice, and we scheduled to chat next week. I already made my decision to attend Yale in August and paid the deposit, so we'll just talk about my transition/move to New Haven.

Hey guys quick question: do you need a car in New Haven? I heard mixed answers about it. I have a car now, but post MBA I want to live in one of the big cities (NYC, Chicago, Boston), so I won't need a car post MBA. Since I'll be living off student loan, I prefer not having a car during the 2 years at Yale, but if a car is necessary, I'll bring it with me and add to student loan.
