Not yet, I'm actually super busy with my Columbia application so want to leave the INSEAD one as late as possible.

However, I'm wondering if there might be a benefit in getting my interviews closed ASAP so my application is at the top of the pile for AdCom? Probably over thinking it to be honest...

I know that ad coms extend offers to those who are qualified, they think fit, and would be most likely to accept the offer. Not sure if getting an interview set up/completed sooner rather than later would be beneficial to the last point? I’m probably overthinking this too (and have nothing to back up my thinking). I’m sure the timing doesn’t really matter as they know we all have lives and work to balance with the applications

If you interviewers have time to read it (not guaranteed), it'll help them understand your motivations and who you are as a person. When they ask the usual questions, your answers will make them remember your essays and that might just be what transforms the interview into a casual conversation about career choices and life at Insead.

Obviously if your essays contain anything you might be unconfortable sharing/talking about then don't share them. If not, share away !

Hi aarde11,

sharing or not the motivation essays is completely up to you.

Just so you know, INSEAD asks interviewers to not read the motivation essays even if they are shared with them. This is to avoid any biases prior to the interviews.

But if you share them and they happen to read them (as Pierrick2 mentioned, this is not guaranteed), there could be little harm in it. Worst-case scenario, if they ask during the interview, for example, for a time you failed, and you explain the same story as in Motivation Essay #2, they might say: "Oh, I already read that. Tell me another time you failed". So, you might need a bigger repository of stories if they have read your motivation essays.

Another consequence, if they have read your motivation essays, is that the interview could become less "standard" and more focused on very specific questions, which could potentially lead to a shorter interview.

Hi All

I applied to Insead on 1st September (both the application and the video assessment) and got a standard confirmation email that my application has been received. The application portal also says application is submitted and under review

However, I have not received any email from any Admissions officer. Is this something to be worried about ? Should I be mailing the college ?

Hearing people talk about their AO's got me panicking.

United09, Yes I think you should reach out to the school. I got to know about my AO as soon as I submitted my video interviews. Make sure your LoRs are also submitted and nothing is pending from your end. Check you spam folder too.

I believe scholarship application is at the interview stage. INSEAD website says application opens Oct 12 for R1 Aug 22 intake https://www.insead.edu/master-programme ... ship-guide

I think we have to register to a scholarship portal once application opens.
