Hi
aarde11,
sharing or not the motivation essays is completely up to you.
Just so you know, INSEAD asks interviewers to not read the motivation essays even if they are shared with them. This is to avoid any biases prior to the interviews.
But if you share them and they happen to read them (as Pierrick2 mentioned, this is not guaranteed), there could be little harm in it. Worst-case scenario, if they ask during the interview, for example, for a time you failed, and you explain the same story as in Motivation Essay #2, they might say: "
Oh, I already read that. Tell me another time you failed". So, you might need a bigger repository of stories if they have read your motivation essays.
Another consequence, if they have read your motivation essays, is that the interview could become less "standard" and more focused on very specific questions, which could potentially lead to a shorter interview.
I hope this helps.
Warm regards
Alex
