I appreciate your insights and will surely explain the gaps in other essays. As I’m a physician with long term goal of npo for underprivileged, I took this gap intentionally to secure the position at one of the largest organization of my country that operates on small budget and provides services for a targeted population. Also which would it be better for references one from the medical director of my organization and another from a visiting senior doctor or both of my department seniors? I’m a bit confused about this.

Have a feeling they’re doing it by region - I don’t think any Indians have heard back yet

arcgmat03 you are welcome.
You should take recommendations from whoever can speak to your capabilities best. Rather than focusing on the designation, the stories and examples that your recommenders provide play a more significant role in the LORs. Discuss with your recommenders how you would like them to share 2-3 clear and concrete "examples" of how you demonstrated certain qualities at work. Qualities without examples and context will not have the same impact as when the reader reads the detailed context, vividly imagining the fiasco at your office and how you came to the rescue. It is okay to discuss and revisit your projects and accomplishments with your recommenders to help them recall the impact of your work on the company's business or department operations. Having this conversation with your recommenders upfront will set the right expectations and also help build confidence between the two of you.
Best wishes

Aanchal Sahni (INSEAD alum, former INSEAD admissions interviewer)

A lot of R1 applicants, including me received admit calls on the deadline day. It's a myth that INSEAD only sends waitlists/rejections on the last day. So I would say hang in there and keep faith :)

Is 680 a good enough score for Indian applicants to apply to ISB? Considering the school is not reapplicant friendly. I have a work ex of 4.5 years and was hoping to take a break from work to focus on preparing for the GMAT Focus.
