I believe they are initials i.e. the first two letter of the AO's name, for example, IR might stand for Isabelle Rothwell. To hide the identity of those posting here from the AO who might be lurking on the site.

Hey guys! Thanks for the discussion on this thread so far. Everything has been really insightful.

I am one of the few people who threw his name in during Round 4. I submitted my application on January 28th but I haven't heard from my AO yet. The website says that you hear from your AO within a week of your application's submission and it's been about three weeks now. But then the application deadline is on Feb 26th. Just wanted to know if anyone would have an insight into what could be happening?

Really appreciate it!

It’s a bit urgent for me as I have to take or reject an offer from HEC in a week.
