Hello everyone,

I had been wait listed last year and interviewed last March.

I've submitted my application for R1, but would there be a possibility that I'd be accepted without an interview?
Since it's been only 6months since my last interview, I would think the school would be able to utilize the evaluation from then.

Thoughts anyone?

I believe that it's rare for applicants to be accepted without interviews. kryzak can probably confirm.

In my opinion, another interview invite would be a sign of renewed interest in your application. Interviewing again would be a great opportunity to discuss how you've improved your application since last year.

Good luck.

I believe that you may still have to do an interview again. I would check with the admissions office to be sure.

hmmnyc is right in that another interview will allow you to update the admissions committee, in person through the interviewer, with changes since the last interview.

I don't think anyone will get invites until after Thanksgiving at the earliest.

Just got this email confirmation from Haas:

Thank you for submitting your application for admission to the Berkeley MBA Program at the Haas School of Business. Your file is now ready for review by the admissions committee.......

I was worried as I had sent TOEFL score back in Feb when I took it. So, was not sure if I should have sent it again with app or not...but, I guess not :)

I got the application confirmation letter too.

Got my heart racing a bit, especially when I noticed the linked in the body before I started reading.

Well, the wait begins..again.

Time to get started on the app for R2. Good luck to those of you who submitted and are waiting for interview. The short answers are pretty intimidating but it's time to put those writing skills honed in R1 to good use!

no, all admissions decisions come out roughly around the same time at each round's decision deadline.

Trust me, it'll be easier than schools with rolling admissions, especially if you're one of the last people to hear. :P

Is there a special event on 11/16? I was planning on visiting soon, but I haven't picked a date yet.

Well, if it's going to be a mini-GC party, I'll have to do my best to make it on 11/16.

Any recommended classes for class visit? Anything that's worth doing/seeing besides the standard class visit, lunch, and info session?

I'm interested in the offerings for Tech and Entrepreneruship. I suppose that's pretty much the Haas brochure... haha.

I'm the opposite, manufacturing/consulting/airlines. which is why I'm having such a hard time with the essays.
