Hi
So unlike other schools Haas renders its decision mid-Jan so I've been under the impression (since they don't indicate any time frame via email or on its website like say, Booth does) that their interview invites would only start end Nov. But I can see that some people have started being invited. Congratulations to you all. Would be great if someone could answer these questions:
1. How many/what percentage of applicants are invited to interview?
2. What is the time time frame for interview invites to go out?
3. Do they wait till mid-Jan to inform all applicants about their decision or are many rejected candidates informed along the way?
4. Is there a Haas spreadsheet that we can access?
Cheers!
Stormbringer, this should help address number 1 - from Businessweek
APPLICANTS
Applications (admitted and denied) to the newest class: 3,627
Applicants who were accepted to the most recent class: 12 %
Admitted applicants who enrolled in the newest class: 58 %
Applicants who were re-applicants from prior years: 6 %
Percentage of this year's reapplicants accepted: 12 %
Applicants wait-listed during the last admissions cycle: 472
Wait-listed applicants admitted for the semester to which they applied: 19
Applicant interviews are: By invitation only
Applicants (admitted and denied) who were interviewed: 27 %
Admitted applicants who were interviewed: 100 %
Admissions has said that interview invitations can go out anytime up to the communication date 1/13/11
According to the threads from prior years. Haas waits until the week of the communication date to deliver final decisions. It seems that admitted students are called that week and then dings and wait list decisions are emailed out on communication day.
