definitely over for today.....3 waves is already more than anyone else could they do another? What did they do last year? i haven't heard anything about that....probably because the only people watching this board right now are the uniformed/univited

You're telling me. After getting dinged at HBS I'm like freaking out that I'm going to get dinged at all of them. Just give me one early so I can stop freaking out!

According to Booth Insider's (Admissions blog) by Tyler Smith (Assistant Director of Admissions), "Applications are read in random order and ensuing interview decisions are released on a rolling basis from mid-October to October 24th."

In other words, a new "Update" tab will prompt in your application page until October 24th. You will receive a decision of Invited to Interview or Denied.

I'm following this post since Monday and the invites really seem to be in random order - there is no recognizable pattern in them, random locations and industries.

Best of luck to you all, and I hope that everyone hear back before the 24th (it kills to await until the last minute...)

If I had to guess the process. I imagine this week (and last) applications are being reviewed boardroom style (after the initial read). This would explain why decisions come in on a rolling basis. They prob give a 2 min blurb for each file and they vote Y/N on who gets an invite and who doesn't.

100% identical experience here. I knew that HBS was a big reach but I felt pretty confident about my other applications going in. Got the ding from HBS and now I'm questioning myself about every part of every app that I submitted. Praying for any evidence that I did SOMETHING right...
