I also received my official acceptance via the online system today. Lawgone, did you receive your online ID/username? or do you only receive it once the deposit is received?

I still don't have the access to the admitted students website. I called several times but got different answers. First time, they told me that i wouldn't have the access until oct., then since amak. has access today, I called again and they told me that I was supposed to get a gsb.columbia.edu account after I filled out the enrollment form. well, I have no idea what's going on and I emailed the admissions so hopefully they will get that right. can you access with your applicant id and password?
Filled out the Enrollment Form as well but got no email with an id or password yet.

Well, just got deferred until the regular admissions cycle. I'm feeling pretty depressed here. Their issue with my application is obviously "employability" (left my PE firm for a family business, but with a career goal of jumping back into a post-MBA PE gig). Don't know if I can do anything to prove to them I'm "employable" as I wait for their final decision during regular decision time. Anybody with any suggestions? Good luck to everyone waiting on decisions and interview invitations!

Hang in there brother. I think you spend some time visiting the school and explaining your rationale behind the switch. I think between now and RD you really just focus on convincing them you made the right move and you are still employable and have your goals in sight.....

When you say "just".....you got an email post 5pm EST?

actually, I never received an email. I just logged in to check my status within the online system, and I saw that I had admissions had made a decision on my application. I opened up the letter (dated 9/14), and I found out my app had been deferred.

Same here (WL'ed as well). I didn't receive a mail/call. I observed my status change in the school website.
Good Luck to other who are waiting to hear from Columbia.

@chaitu69 - I was wondering what happened to you! So are you also deferred? What's your Plan B?

also, @hazay - what's happening with your process? you've been silent for awhile and your info isn't on the spreadsheet...

Yes, I was waitlisted - My decision was deferred till Feb 1st.
Unfortunately, this is my second WL (2 out of 2 ) :)
I've my interview with Tuck next week and after that I will look into possibilities of improving my profile.

Any suggestions while staying on WL?

Thanks - KC

I took the liberty of adding some summary statistics to the spreadsheet. Interestingly, the data suggest that if you're going to be dinged without interview it will happen 32-34 days after submission. Of course, that's based on a sample of 3 so the predictive value may be limited ;)
