I just added myself to the spreadsheet on the first page. RD applicant submitted 10/19 and just got an interview invite yesterday. I am glad to see all the posts on interview experiences. Other than this forum and the clear admit wiki on interviews, does anyone have additional reading suggestions for preparing for the interview? Thanks!

I also am surprised to see you perusing this board if you're already committed to attending HBS - do you just like following this message board for a school you're not even going to attend because it makes you feel better about yourself since you've gotten in and others haven't?

Come on guys - let's not get into any wasteful arguments. I think your last statement is completely out of context.... I visit all forums even though I have not applied everywhere. I am sure Bubba is a regular visitor like many others..

Sorry uprightcitiizen and zeustheman felt that way about my message - it was in jest to josiebella to look at a misplaced '?' in perspective. Apparently, the intended humor of my intro may have rubbed some (very sensitive) people the wrong way, but that is not how I meant it. I think josiebella interpreted it correctly as she replied with a "lol thanks", so as long as she's not offended, no harm done.

Question for the admitted: Do you get an email AND a call? or just a call? (Should I be checking email as well next week?)

A call from an "Unknown" number an an AdCom member. If you don't pick up, They will send you an email asking you to get in touch with them as soon as possible.

A ding ends with a "your application status has changed email"

Hi all, I posted this in the Booth thread but wanted to get some CBS perspectives on my situation. Speaking of Booth v. CBS, in terms of finance outside of NYC (ex: midwest, west coast, south), I know both schools are very reputable and probably more highly regarded than top 20 regional schools that occupy those areas. Considering that I didn't get into any of the top 3 (H/S/W), which school would be best for finance? And that I want to return to my home state (not NY). Even worse, both school's admit weekend are the same weekend so I have to choose one.

Do you want to live in Chi-town or the Big Apple? That's the question! I, personally, can't understand anyone who chose Chicago over NYC....

I'm considering cost of living as well, and since I don't plan on staying in either city past the two years during bschool, Chicago is alluring. I fell in love with NYC during my summer analyst training - it really deserves the title of "the city".

For those of you that got accepts, is it standard that they call you, you didn't receive an email notification from the online app? What time of day did they call?

Going slightly insane, I'm a deferral and I saw that someone else who was in the same boat got the call last friday...

Thanks!

for those fellow deferreds, my manager said the adcom is revisiting us once a week for the remainder of the month. My guess is that since some people heard late last week, we can expect something similar in terms of hearing from them towards the end of each week this month.

Then if you stay in the city, you may choose to stay here. I don't see anything wrong with this! Then the city should be your choice. Chi-town to me just a conglomerate of midwestern villages. haha

Very helpful indeed. If you don't mind me asking, how does your manager have so much insight into the process?
