Your case is puzzling though, haha how many weeks after interview already? 7 or 8?
Status went to "ITW complete" more than 5 weeks ago.
I think I got a very strong and unique profile that schools will love or hate (more love than hate I think).
CBS invited me after 3 weeks > Love.

Now I have to wait for them to advance with J-Term , deal with the rush of ED applicants, and then in september when they will be ready to send the first ED decision, I should hear something.
Once again, I think that my profile will be a no-brainer for them, and wont require additional time to send their decision.

On the other hand, my case is more puzzling, i mean it took them 7 and half weeks to give me an invite, then you would assume they had already done most of the reading on mine so the turnaround after the interview should be fairly quick.
Honestly, I would assume that they waited to compare your profile with other lawyers.

I don't think there are many lawyers applying to bschool. All my lawyer friends are math challenged, like seriously challenged, they will never even think about going into finance. I will say every year, probably only a handful of lawyers will apply. Most people who have some legal background will be the ones in law school now so that they will do a jd/mba joint degree. I would've done the joint degree if I had not been stuck in some backwater place.

I've been following this thread for the last couple months but just registered for the forum today to contribute additional data.

I applied ED on 7/8, my application went "under review" on 7/9, and I finally received an interview invite today (8/19) at noon EST, 6 weeks after submitting my application.

Stats: M/29/Indian, Ivy undergrad (3.7) & MA, 710 (45Q/41V), 7 years nonprofit WE in NYC, nontraditional candidate (humanities major, no corporate or quant experience, Social Enterprise focus)

Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

Hey everyone,

Submitted ED Sept 2011 application July 14, 2010. Received interview request July 30, 2010. Interviewed August 9th, 2010. Still waiting for interviewer to submit report.

3.9 GPA, 4.0 major (Finance) at top 20 public university
710 GMAT (44Q, 42V)
2 years Investment Banking, 2 years PE at matriculation (current)
On board of small charity I co-founded
Decent ECs

Biggest concern in my app is my weak Quant score on GMAT, but hoping strong performance in Finance major and IB/PE experience will overshadow that.

Will update as it comes

Hi everyone. I had my interview on 8/9 and my interviewer has not submitted the report. I am getting anxious as Monday will be the two week point. Is it possible my interviewer couldve forgot (busy guy, MD at Goldman)? How does Columbia ensure he will submit it? Do I need to follow up with the guy? I feel like I shouldnt have to as Columbia puts no emphasis an applicant should. I am confident the interview went well, although not having the report submitted yet is a little discouraging. Anyone have similar experiences?

Why don't you follow-up with the admissions office - maybe send an email saying you had your interview almost 2 weeks ago and noticed that the online status has not changed yet? That way, they'll either tell you they have the report but didn't update the status, or if they really didn't have it, they'll bug the interviewer to send it soon.

Wow, we have essentially the same profile including the re-applicant angle. That's rough. Are you applying to ED or J-Term? Thanks.

I think thats the best route, but I will wait it out until Tuesday (day after the deadline) so they cant come back with the cookie cutter answer "our interviewers have up to two weeks to submit...etc."

Sounds like a very strong profile. Best of luck. Selfishly, I'm hoping that the GMATClub sample is a bit skewed towards the top end. Lots of great candidates running around here.

Marcus, I applied for early decision. Hopefully we both get in! They should still have plenty of space for similar profiles at this point in the game. Plus, you're January term right?

I just received an email from the admissions dean. She wants to meet me in person in Boston next Thursday. She said "the committee would love to meet you and ask you a few more questions." She said she knew I had interviewed with an alum. What does that mean???
