Congrats. Mine got submitted on 11/10. I may hear back anytime starting tomorrow then. They seem to be quite inconsistent with the time it takes from interview report submission date to decision render date.

(Adcom mentioned Nov 17th for date they start reviewing RD, though contingent upon them finishing ED reviews, but given ppl who applied on the ED deadline are hearing back it seems close)

My admission was deferred with the following language:

"After careful review and consideration by the Admissions Committee, we are unable to offer you admission at this time. However, we recognize the strengths of your application and would like to defer our final decision until later in the application cycle. Our intention is to have all decisions for Early Decisions applicants finalized by February 2, 2015, but your final decision may be communicated at any time before then."

Timeline:

Applied: Oct 7th
Interviewed: Nov 4th
Interview report submitted: Nov 5th
Decision: Nov 12th

The same thing happened to me last year with my 710 GMAT and I was ultimately rejected in late January. I don't think many of the deferred applicants got in (without material improvements to their apps), but there's always a chance. Good luck with your retake, it could help a lot.

Also, you'll be assigned a deferral manager and in a few days that person may try to schedule a call with you to discuss your app and the deferral process.

Appreciate the honesty. That's what I noticed from reading prior year threads about deferrals. Well, I will take my chances. We shall see how persuasive I can be.

Looking for some advice:

Interviewed on Monday (10-10) and the interviewer said he'd submit the feedback by Wednesday (10-12) but he hasn't done it yet.

At what point is it appropriate to email him to remind him? Or does Columbia have an automated message of some sort?

My interview lasted 1:40, but didn't feel it to be particularly good. Just ok.

I was totally fine over the weekend, but now became so anxious and nervous. This is my top choice and I haven't even started apps for other schools.

I have almost same schedule with you: Applied on 10/8, Interviewed on 11/5, Interview report submitted on 11/10. Maybe the news might come later next week. Cheers!

Yeah you see an update on the application and also get an email notification after the interviewer submits the feedback. I interviewed on 11/11 and my feedback was submitted on 16th (Sunday) morning, still waiting.... :roll:

Posted this yesterday but for some reason it disappeared. I just got the call and am thrilled to be joining the CBS community! I'm a native New Yorker and am happy to advise anyone regarding the move to the city, or connect with anyone already here.
