Hey guys, has anyone gone through the BG check yet with ReVera? Do you know what types of questions they ask and to whom?

Cheers

Hi everyone,
aside from personal opinions, does anyone have any insights into how much the interview weighs into the overall decision?
is it the final stage for a yes or a no or just a check box to move you forward to the next evaluation process (assuming you didn't do a miserable interview)? is it looked like the gmat score? a good score wont get you in but a bad one will keep you out?

Hi Gmang,

I had the same question when I was going through the interview round. This is the answer Matthew from admissions gave me at that time. Best of luck moving forward! If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for taking our questions here:

When the interview is complete and the ambassador sends in their report, is admissions based solely on the report at that point or does that get added back to the packet and it's reviewed again with the report for a final decision?

Hi wnoyes,

Thank you for your question! The admissions committee will review your entire application along with the interview before releasing your final decision. The interview is certainly an important piece of the process, but it is only one piece, and it will be reviewed holistically along with the rest of your application by the admissions committee.

Best of luck,

Hi,
Interviews definitely carries a lot of weightage in the overall admission decision but it is not the final stage, it is just one of the evaluation criterions. My interview went really well and I was very confident that I will get a call from CBS but I ended up getting wait-listed.

Hi, waitlisted - J term. Is there any thread for waitlisted candidates?

Hi,
Congrats on the wait-list. I dont think there is a separate thread for waitlisted candidates.
I am also in the J term wait-list. Did you hear from the adcom yet?.

Guys,

Just a quick question regarding scholarships. I don't remember precisely what the format of the application was, but I do remember that at one point I specified that I do not want to be considered for financial aid (I am lucky enough to afford to pay the entire ride out of my pocket). Does this mean that you are automatically disregarded when it comes to any sort of scholarship, or is there some special merit scholarship you may still be eligible for regardless of your financial aid option? Thanks guys!

Cheers!

I think they are still reviewing the pending applications. They haven't started looking at the waitlist yet.

Got dinged today :(
Interview feedback submitted on 11/16. They suggested me to apply for the executive program instead. I have 5.5 years of experience right now.

5.5 years? so does that make you 28 or so? Seems on the young side for an executive program.

My interview feedback was submitted on 11/17, so today may be the day I find out...

Edit - Did they call you to give you the ding? A personalized email?

Does anyone know the typical time of the day that they call and from what number (area code)?

Do they only call for an acceptance or for all decisions? (Waitlist and Deny, as well)

Thx,
J

From what I have read here regarding waitlist and denial of admission, you simply get a status update. They called me midday, around noon EST, to let me know I was accepted, but I have read reports indicating everything from early morning to 6 PM EST for admissions calls.

They called me around 3:30 CT. Unkown number.
From what I heard you only get called if you get admitted.
Hope this help and good luck!
