What would be a good expectation for someone to hear back if the application is submitted on 12th September.

CBS generally gives a decision in 6 weeks so I would say 2 to 4 weeks ideally to hear back about interview decision
but it also depends on application volume they have received so far and it may take longer as we get closer to the actual Round 1 + ED deadline of Oct 6 as it is likely that more people will have completed and submitted their apps in september
