If you’re international I would go to the higher ranked schools. Listen, it depends what you define as international. If you’re a Canadian white guy who plays sports and fits in with most of the crowd you’ll do fine. If you’re coming from a south Asian country or Africa and you have a heavier accent and you just haven’t been to the United States and you don’t have much in common with most Americans. I would really prioritize prestige.. I know this sounds really bad to say, but it’s the truth
Yeah I get it, fair enough.
I am also trying to pivot from Tech to IB, will apply to Tuck and Cornell for R2.
Waiting for Stern and Darden’s decisions after interview
Most probably got waitlisted by Duke

Here’s the thing and then I gotta actually run after because I’m getting **** with work now haha, when you look at those schools like Cornell they do place for IB, but you also have to take into consideration about how many people are trying to break in that end up not breaking in because more than half the school wants to do IB. The advantage with going to a non-IB school or a consulting school is that you have A) more diversity in your classroom so you’re a network is not just going to be bankers B) your odds are breaking in are better because you have less people trying so even though let’s say Darden places less students that may not be because they have less IB spots available but because less people wanted to do it, and it was by interest
Do you then think I should also apply to Ross and Yale given they place ~12 to 15% in IB ?
