Waitlisters were supposed to send a deposit? Does any other school do that? I've never heard of that.

1) I personally sent in a 1 page letter explaining why i loved Darden and stated that if admitted, I would definitely attend
2) Had an alumni who is a VP at a top tier bank and a family friend send in a letter on my behalf
3) Met with two professors, who submitted a note to admissions on my behalf
4) Had the VP of my consulting firm (a UVA grad) submit an additional recommendation.

hello, i was a R2 waitlister that got the call on friday of last week. i am very excited. i have not received any official offer letter or information packet in the mail, but today i received a navy blue virginia cavaliers t-shirt via USPS first class mail (with a Detroit return address). did anyone else get a t-shirt in the mail when they were accepted? or is this from one of my friends/family that just hasn't gotten around to letting me know that they sent it yet? thanks.

Congrats bschoolq2 for moving from waitlist to admitted. I am also on waitlist and it's good to see some movement in the waitlist.

HA! Funny! I sure did not get a t-shirt in the mail. I got one at Darden Days, but it was white. I would assume that if Darden was to send a shirt it would have been with the Darden logo and not with the UVA (Cavaliers) one. Also, you would probably get the admit package first. So, do you have any family in Detroit? :-D

advait, i communicated with admissions several times throughout both the original application and waitlist processes but i was careful not to overdo it and let several weeks go by between each contact.

lencheto18, no family in Detroit. i assume the return address is for a random seller/dealer on Amazon or something. i have an educated guess who the purchaser was.

No call here - got waitlisted. It seems to me that they already have more than enough people enrolling - basing this off of the facebook group. Does anyone know the number?

Also, fellow waitlisters, what kind of communication have you had with admissions?
