Best of luck!
For what is worth, I am international also. However, I am located in the US.

Visit the campus if you can, information gleaned from rankings, articles and school websites can only go so far. For me, the visit definitely helped me to confirm my fit.

Standard tell us about yourself question - I probably went for about 15 minutes or so. I did not ask them if they wanted to hear a 30 minute speech, in hindsight that was a good thing because I am afraid I would have rambled on if I had to fill 30 minutes. Some follow up questions afterwards, why MBA, why Darden, personal passions, professional aspirations etc.

Do you have your interview soon?

Yep, < 2 weeks.
I'm excited to see Charlottesville in the fall.

Are the invites being sent by snail mail? ... That would explain the delay. :(

When did the interview invitations start to go out?

The Darden website says that the mid-decision date is mid-November even though they say that the interview invites would go on until the final-decision date. Does that mean that when we go past mid-November, most of the interview invites would have already been sent out? In any case, I hope that I will get an invitation for interview before mid-November.

I think you're misunderstanding. Their website says that interviews start in mid-November (in reality they started earlier this year). Regardless, it says nothing about any decisions until December 21st.

ok, my bad.. when I said mid-decision date, I was referring to interview invitations. So, my actual question is when we go past Nov 15th, does that mean that the chance of getting an interview invitation will go down drastically? Are most of the invitations sent out before Nov 15th?

Honestly, I would think that everyone has a fighting chance all the way through early/mid December. I don't think the admissions office would explicitly state that they send out interview invites up until the decision date unless they meant it. I'm sure they understand how closely we applicants scrutinize every piece of available information and thus aren't trying to deviously mislead us by saying that.

Any applicant from India or outside of US got an invite?

I wish they put some information on their website about the day until invites for International go out.
That will really help lot of us.

Their blog indicated they would start sending international invites middle of last week. I believe there was 1 GMATClub member who reported receiving an international invite.

I agree with LionsSBC, everyone has a shot until much closer to the decision deadline in early/mid December.

Just got an interview invite this morning (keep 'em comin!). If it helps those who are anxious like me, I submitted my application the weekend of the deadline, but on Saturday, not the deadline date itself. If they do in fact go chronologically (no idea whether or not they do), then there's still a large portion of apps for them to get through.

I am international and got an interview invite last tuesday.

Waiting for the Alumni to contact me to schedule it though, the email said they would do so in 10-ish days.

Just received my interview invite at 4:00pm EST.

They sent an email AND updated the application portal. The update was placed in the yellow application status box at the top after logging in.

Do you guys think there is any assessment done on whether you attend the other events available on your interview date? I went to an open house there earlier this year so I spent like 6 hours talking to students, visiting classes, etc. so I feel like I already have a pretty good sense of the school. I'd prefer to be in and out, not attend another class or something like that, but I'm afraid they would sort of frown upon that. Anyone heard anything about whether or not that matters?
