Anyone in the US interested in a Fuqua interview prep (phone or live in person if in the same city)?

Add me too to the roll call. Intl, R2.

Submitted dead on the deadline, got a change in status (that disappeared for a couple of days, as described here), and today finally got an e-mail with the details of the "Interview Team Captain" to contact during this week.

Let's hope we'll all get in :-D But then, we won't be satisfied - as, to be honest with ourselves, deep inside we crave the competition, the exclusivity, the selectivity

CANMBA
Is anyone interviewing on Saturday February 26th in NYC?

I'll be traveling from Canada.

CANMBA, I'm also going in on the 26th - flying from the Midwest.

It may seem strange for me to go to NYC instead of Durham for the interview. But I had lived/worked in NYC before so I hope that, in the case of alum interview, it will be easier to relate.

Does anyone know if all NYC interviews will be conducted by alums?

I'll also be interviewing in NYC, but on the 27th. If anyone wants to chat, discuss, grab a coffee, etc. before or after the interview, please PM.

I will be there !!! I will be glad to chat ...
Is there anything else besides the interview scheduled for the 27th ? any presentation about the school ?

Just got this email:

"I am pleased to offer you the opportunity to interview with me during my upcoming visit to City 1 and City 2 later this month. Please consider this an option, as I know that you are located outside of these cities and significant travel might be necessary.

As a Fuqua alum (09’) and current Associate Director of Fuqua Admissions, I look forward to meeting, and connecting with, our prospective students throughout the world.

I will be in City1, and available for interviews on the following Days:

<schedule>
I will be in City 2, and available for interviews on:
<schedule>

If you are available to interview during any of the above times, please send me an email with your preferred date, and we will coordinate the details and confirm a time and location. The interviews will last between 30 and 45 minutes.

I completely understand that you may have restrictions on your travel in this short window. If this is the case, please let me know and our Admissions team will confirm an interview for you with one of our local alumni in your country or an interview over the phone. I assure you all interviews are considered equally in the process."

I am in another city (not City 1 or 2) and I did not bargain for travel when I selected my city as a preferred location in the application. However, I am worried that this might affect my chances of getting admitted. Thoughts, people?

^^ if you can make it to the cities mentioned, then you should prefer this option...since the interviewer is showing a specific interest in you, this might be your chance to really impress him/her... but if its too much of an inconvenience to you, then just say no and schedule a more appropriate interview..

Does anyone know if we have to upload our resumes for the interviewers to review? (thought I read this, though I could be completely off)
Or do they already have access to our resumes?
Thanks

Please bring the following to your interview:

1. This confirmation letter
2. A hard copy of your resume
3. A government-issued photo id to facilitate check-in for your interview.

Attire for interviews is business casual.

I saw the message stating that you could upload a resume. But, I didn't see the link when I registered, so I'm going to just bring extra copies to the interview.

Congrats to those of you invited to interview.

FYI, despite stating that attire is "business casual," I think more people were in suits than not when I interviewed. I'd recommend wearing whatever you'll be most comfortable in, but using "business casual" as a minimum standard.

While campus is great, I'd also recommend exploring Durham a bit for those of you who'll be interviewing on campus. From what I could tell, there are a lot of good restaurants in the area.

Hi All,

Congratulations to all those who got in and also to those who have interview invites. I was wondering if there was a facebook group for admitted students.

Thanks in advance

I interviewed in Chicago, and it was probably 50/50 professional/business casual. I wore business casual, and so did all the interviewers and alums there for the panel discussions. I can't imagine that it made a difference one way or the other for anyone.

That's sort of my point. There was some discussion of this topic when R1 invites were released. My message was meant to preempt those questions. I agree, as long as you avoid tuxedo t-shirts, leisure suits or other, obviously poor decisions on dress, you should be fine.

I interviewed in NYC, and wore business casual. The interviewers had business casual.
Most kids were wearing business attire.

I got in; so take it the way you want. They wanted us to wear business casual to remove the stress out of the interview, however, if you feel more comfortable with your business suit, hey, do what you have to do.
