Hello:
I am new to this forum, but it seems like an excellent online community. I have recently decided to apply for the Cross Continent Program for Fall 2011. My workload may be decreasing considerably over the next year (acquisition of primary product line) and I feel like this is a great time to divert my attention to my MBA. I have one month to complete my application and GMAT prior to the final deadline. I had a 3.1 GPA (3.5+ in Business Administration), great work experience and expect a 650+ on my GMAT. Is this a fool's errand to be starting so late in the process? I am planning to apply to the Thunderbird distance program as well.
Great luck to everyone. Any comments are welcome.
I don't see why you wouldn't have a shot at it. In fact I'm on here today to do a bit of research myself into the Duke Cross-Continent program. I was contacted earlier today and asked whether I was interested in joining. I had previously been turned down for the full time MBA many months ago so this came out of no where. Now I have some decisions of my own to make as I've also been accepted to ASU and waitlisted at Marshall. I am really going back and forth today trying to decide on which option makes the most sense... Good luck to you!
Thanks for the reply. I hope you're right. I spoke with an admissions counselor today and was told that I have a good shot at admittance and should continue the application process. If you haven't reached out to one of the counselors I DEFINITELY recommend it. Mine was very knowledgable and answered questions close to an hour.
Have you made a decision yet? The CCMBA is the absolute perfect format for me, but I understand that everyone has different goals and needs. Good luck!
