I asked my counselor for a feedback and asked her for any potential weakness in my app that I need to address to get off the WL. She replied back saying it was against admissions process to provide individual feedback.
I wonder what's the use of an adcom counselor when most of the WL candidates are much aware of the admissions process by now. Most of the WL guys here have specific questions such as "how many folks are there in WL? When can I hear back? Can you give me a feedback?" And the counselor has no answers to these questions. If they are going to answer only generic questions, don't we already have the fuqua WL chat transcripts?
As stated in my previous posts, I haven't heard from my Waitlist Counselor yet. However, I spoke with an Admissions Counselor three weeks ago and actually got some feedback. I did not specifically ask for commentary on every component of my application, but the counselor asked me about my GMAT score, GPA, work experience and extracurricular activities. I gave all the necessary information and then enumerated all the other updates that I have sent since being notified of my waitlist status. Not only did the counselor tell me how competitive each aspect of my application is, but they also told me that my overall profile is "strong". In addition to that, I was informed that I have been doing all the right things, updating the AdCom on how my profile has improved since submitting my application.
After getting such good feedback, it became difficult to manage my expectations. Three weeks since, at least one known wave of admits has already passed, but I am still waiting. Furthermore, having still not received an email from my counselor, it makes me wonder if I am at the end of the waitlist and should be expecting a ding notice soon. That said, I can understand why the counselors prefer not to give any feedback. At least the lack of feedback would not encourage the waitlisted applicants to hang on to the counselors' every word and be overconfident/paranoid.
