Sorry to hear about the dings. threestripes, I just checked my app, still no movement on mine either, so they may be going through the list somewhat intentionally.

I shared a bit of my plan above in response to redjam17. If those who were dinged don't mind my asking, what's the next step for you? Re-apply next year, part-time, other?

I too got an email informing me that my status had been updated. But for the rest of you, I guess there's still hope and you might get lucky in the next few weeks.

MattNY, I'm waitlisted at Ross as well but if I don't hear from them within the next few days, I'm going to withdraw and head off to Cornell. I'm done waiting.

Hey westcoast kid... you accepted without them telling you about your financial aid? Wow. did they send it to you yet? I am a rd 2 admit and got my "award" package of loans.... i find it funny that they call it an award package. Last i checked, awards dont have to be returned with interest.

anyway, how many people do you think got merit scholarships? Do you think they still have anything left for that kind of stuff? anyone can feel free to answer.

As backups go, you could do a lot worse than Cornell :) Great school. We made the trek to Ithaca several times in college (not far from here, Rochester) to hit their parks, very pretty area though there's not a lot around and, of course, our snowy winters I'm looking to get away from. Buttermilk Falls is a great area for a quick hike near campus, and Robert Treman park has a swimming area that's nice in the summer months. Hope you hear back from Ross soon.

Thanks MattNY. Yeah its not a bad school at all, I was merely holding out for Duke because its a much stronger school for consulting and from what I hear, the weather is better too. Either way, I'm pretty happy. As an international student, I'm looking forward to this journey :-)

Yeah I had to. They give you two days to send in the deposit. I thought it was a bit odd to accept without seeing the financial aid package as well, so I called the admissions office and they said that is the way it goes for those on the waitlist. In fact, the financial aid office wouldn't even start processing my file until the deposit had been received. They also said had I been accepted in the round I applied it would have been the other way around.

No idea whether they still have money left for awards.

The federal subsidized loan amount is very tiny, because there's a federal limit. Most of the financial aid will be in the form of an outside student loan.You can get started looking into loan vendors.

Just a note. I was released from the waitlist like the others last week with a big old ding. I was then contacted today about joining the cross-continet program, which I am not interested in. I'll be joining Emory's full time program with a very nice scholarship and I couldn't be happier. Best of luck to all of you in the next couple of years!

Sorry to hear that, MBADAWG13. Are you by any chance an international applicant? I know redjam17 is, so I was wondering if maybe they only dinged the international WLers due to the time constraints involved in applying for the student visas.

Congratulations! Best of luck to you as well, thanks for posting. Interesting that they tried to steer you towards cross-continent.

I emailed admissions today about the assignment of a waitlist counselor for the summer, I was notified that we should hear from someone "within the next week" to "guide [us] through the final stages" of the waitlist process.

westcoastapp also got accepted off of the Booth WL this week. Therefore, there should at least be two spots to fill right now.

There is probably a grace period of a week after a deposit deadline passes. The R3 deadline was on Friday, May 20th, but they did not make any offers on the week of May 23rd. They called the new admits up on Tuesday, May 31st and gave them two days to make a decision. Therefore, with the last deposit deadline being Thursday, June 2nd, I don't anticipate them making any offers until next week (week of June 13th). I hope I am wrong because I would love to hear from them this week... but I guess I would rather get good news next week/month than receive bad news tomorrow.

High possibility that not everyone on the waitlist stalks this forum like we do. It's possible there is movement that we don't know about. Trying to stay optimistic though!

I think constantly watching this forum is making the waitlist process that much harder...
