Hi guys,

on my application I found that I have to report my starting and final salary for my current and previous job.
What does it mean? Can, to do that, just take my very first monthly paycheck and multiply it by the monthly paychecks I would get in one year with that salary? Or I should compute all the months one by one to obtain the annual salary??
Also, what do I do with final salary? Is it simply the last month's salary times the number of monthly paychecks?
Thanks a lot!!

I would take the first month check and multiply by 12 (and do the same with the final salary) in order to exclude any raises in the intial salary and capure them in the final salary.

I put my starting salary as the figure on my contract and my ending salary as what I would make in the next year assuming no raises (current monthly wages x12).

I'm an EA applicant and now I'm getting even more nervous for the 24th. Sigh.
Only two more weeks!!!
I think it's good that Duke doesn't roll out the decisions slowly. With single decision, at least it'll be relatively painless.

Unless you get waitlisted!

quick question - have any of you asked for the fee waiver? Just saw that we need to get some type of confirmation email. I have visited campus and interviewed there but I didn't receive any email that said your waiver has been granted. did you guys do something specific to receive this email?

I got an email about it but not sure what I did to get it. It may have something to do with filling out that section of the applicaiton but that's sorta of strange that they'd be able to access an application before it was submitted (I haven't submitted yet). I'd just give them a call.

I received an email right after i filled out the field text below for the waivers. I think once you populate it and save it in your application, it automatically kicks off a message internally. It didn't take long for them to send me a message saying that i got a waiver.

Quick Question. On the applications, what did you guys put for # of years management experience? I have experience leading teams and managing project progress but my title is not "manager."

Thanks!

1 typo won't make or break your app. As long as it's not riddled with typos you should be set...

If you have management experience and can back it up, I would put that experience down in the section. It isnt worded "how many years have you been directly managing people in a supervisory role". Since its a broad question if you feel your experience qualifies you should put it. My .02

Ginetta,
Thanks for the tips on scanning transcript. B/W with 200dpi helped.

I did not get an email about the confirmation of the reduction in application and fee. On calling the office, they said that they are having trouble with the system and that I should try and submit. It should only ask for 50 bucks and it did.
