The methodology to develop the ranking has changed and so has Duke Fuqua' rank - still in top 10 though

Now, prestige chasers can stop tossing apps at Fuqua because they want to say they went to a #1 ranked school. Fuqua deserves to stay true to who they are and not admit people who want it primarily for its ranking.

May be a too late and a silly question given we are only 5 days away:-
Can someone confirm on the SIS portal for application complete is this is the only information?

Also in the "My Application" status, Applicant's Material Status, I only see my test scores. I am guessing nothing else is meant to show up correct?

Yes, agree completely. Bloomberg ranking although is not sending out a good message (about their credibility) with this continuous change in the methodology.

Just have another drink. Figure it this way, either your alcohol consumption will drop precipitously during a 22 month MBA program, or increase with the weekly mixers at the caf.

Bit of advice I got from a first year-- Monday, STAY OFF THIS BOARD. Timing is crazy, worldwide phone calls, seeing everyone post their status will make you nuts.

So on the Duke Self Service Portal, my Home address and Phone # were from 11 years ago when I applied to Duke as an undergraduate. I could not believe my eyes when I saw that information, because it was all from India and I haven't lived there or used the #s for 10 years now.

I couldn't understand for some time why would Duke even have that information. It was very freaky.

Did that happen to anyone else?

Hahah that is really funny, that definitely happened to me as well! I couldn't figure out why it had my old high school address, but then I thought maybe the application asked where I grew up and I had entered it at some point.

It was my first choice as well for undergrad, but I got rejected... hoping for better luck this go around :)

I applied to so many schools that I don't even remember applying to Duke, but of course I must have.

I wonder how many others will be surprised. I had to change everything and then got an email from adcom saying why I did that

Alright everyone, this is going to be a nervous weekend. I am going to try and keep myself busy, have to prepare for two interviews scheduled in the next 2 weeks, but this will be a tough time.

TheCheshireChap I like your advice. Anyways, the calls/emails come very late here in India. So I will go out and get super drunk on Monday evening and hope for that call!

Every I Banker I ever met had a problem with blow. I doubt the admissions team will revoke an admit for a slightly buzzed candidate on a terrifying day. Or, even better idea, learn to hold your liquor ;)

I agree. I am going to hold the glass in my hand till late night here in India, and then drink up, one way or the other! Tuesday will be a bad hangover day for a lot of folks here! :D
