Hello everyone! Requesting for a profile evaluation: Male, 27. 10th CGPA: 9.8 12th CBSE: 91% UG at SRM University (Civil Engineering, Batch of 2018): 8.79 CGPA Role 1: Worked at a Sports Analytical Startup. Worked as Backend Analyst with teams like Mumbai Indians, Barbados Tridents, West Indies National Team. Handled Social Media of the firm and other clients. Startup had to close down Role 2: Mentored 100 underprivileged children, boys and girls, teaching them life values through football. Won all the girls tournaments. Handled data and admin and operations in the absence of an Ops manager. Quit because I got admit for my Masters, but couldn’t go due to COVID. 5 months break later, Role 3: Worked as a Data Analyst at a Data Analytics consulting firm. Clients were national and international conglomerates. Handled data such as marketing, inventory etc. Quit because I got a better opportunity. Role 4: Worked as a Business Analyst for a Cybersecurity firm. Single Point of Contact for all the product’s Pre-Sales and Customer Success data-based Return on Investment reports. Managed a portfolio of over $7M. Unfortunately got laid off just two weeks back. ECs: Non-Profit Activity: 2016-2018: Taught English to 3 underprivileged children. Led teams to expand the outreach of NGO from 40 kids to over 170 kids. Led a team of 24 volunteer teachers who taught 26 children. Also organized football tournaments. 2018: Part-time football coach. Got to mentor 40 kids from underprivileged background. Converted this Part-time offer into a full-time offer. 2022: Curriculum Manager at a non-profit that teaches English for underprivileged kids. Led the curriculum for B1 Level English. 2023: Led a team of 6 and launched a platform for volunteering opportunities in Chennai in association with Global Shapers, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. Have had over 2K users in 3.5 months. Played cricket in school and college. Organize badminton for a small group of 7 people. Drawbacks, in my opinion: GRE (319, 167Q, 152V). Have given up on Standardized tests after 3 full years of prep. Indian-Engineer-Male. Please let me know your thoughts. Sorry if this was TMI.
I believe that you got the drawbacks right, the GRE converts to a 660 GMAT with the ETS tool. (Some schools do let you put the converted scores). I would also add that you may have to explain the gap of more than 3 months in your additional essay. Everything else is workable and definitely in the school range. Hi, everyone,

We have added a new episode to our GMAT Club Podcast. In this episode, we speak to Sonali, an artist from a non-traditional background, about her Fuqua MBA experience.

You can listen to it at the following link the-mba-podcast-by-gmat-club-fuqua-mba-experience-of-an-artist-402747.html#p3115570

Hello everyone,
I stumbled on this great video by mbaMission. Might be helpful if you’re stuck on the 25 random things essay.

Should apply automatically on your application.

At least that’s what they said earlier, if you scroll above in chat a few people were informed of it

I don’t know when the EA one is due. Traditionally LOR’s would be due on the day of the application deadline. It makes it a lot easier for everyone including admissions to manage their dates and timelines.
There have been relaxed time frames during the pandemic and in general there is some slack to recommenders to submit their letter of recommendation. However, I think in the long term and if not stated, the letter of recommendation is due at the same time as all the other materials.

Hello everyone, could someone kindly share the recording of the MBA Spotlight event that took place in June if it was indeed recorded?
Hi. Thanks so much for asking. Unfortunately it was on zoom and was not recorded… however, we do have a Fuqua zoom session coming up on Wednesday with admissions committee that would be valuable to attend.

Hi, I have to ask a question regarding Fuqua’s early action round. I have applied in this very round for 2023-34 but was not aware about the binding thing that you cannot accept admission from any other bschool then. Although Duke has an option to mail to adcom to request them to change ones round of admission from early round to round 1 stating that one was not completely aware about the binding thing. I would like to ask for advice here that is it advisable to change the round now ? I mean will this put out a negative impression of mine ?
