the rest of the pool is waitlisted/rejected applicants. It’s like when you got buy apples, you select the best ones and leave the rest out for the market.

disagree. That means no admits on D day which is false
I never said , I just said they are apprised first always before the final decision. Ofcourse schools like tepper inform you on the D-Day , but the admits are called first and the waitlist/dings later

Otherwise I don;t know what’s the logic

It might also be because it’s impossible to call everyone on D day hence they start early. There was a sudden inflow of admits yesterday even though ross started one day in advance as well
