Im from Latin America and no invites so far, have not asked other guys from Argentina so far so I don't get even more stressed out!...
I am planning to interview here, but not sure what the schedule will be, I was counting on first week of January, but somebody mentioned that Jan 4-15 is slotted for on campus interviews...
For all the other Round 1 applicants, Dec 15th of last year did appear to be a substantial "ding" date. However, quite a few applicants from round 1 get their applications deferred to the Rd 2 process. So if you don't hear anything by Dec 15th I would presume that you're now in the Rd 2 application pool.
Not hearing about an interview request in the next 2 weeks doesn't mean the door is closed so long as you don't get an actual ding. Keep the hope alive...
For those of you that received invites, is it immediately visible from the e-mail subject or body that you got an invite, or does it tell you to log in or go to a website?

It is visible from the email subject and the invite details is in the email. I actually got the invite via email while my status hasn't been updated yet.

What's the difference between being waitlist and being deferred? Does anyone know if they push applicants to 2nd RD because of lack of time, increased anticipation of a certain cohort, etc?
