I was in New Haven today.

The visit was well organized, but they cheaped out on the lunch :) The other schools I've been to gave a free lunch.

Atmosphere is nice around campus, and the overall vibe I got is very positive.
I interviewed in the afternoon, and for those interviewing soon, the interview was conversational. My interviewer was a second year and the type of questions were: why your undergrad school, was there a gap post graduation (resume wasn't clear), what do you do at your current job, why MBA, why now, what are your short-term and long-term goals. I had the opportunity to ask a few questions but after the 3rd, he said that we should wrap up as it was already 30 minutes.

Has anybody else received interview invite? This “no news is good news” silence is killing me. It’s getting so depressing that I may go jump in the lake tomorrow.

I haven't received an interview invite. I don't know what happened. My stats are pretty good, and everything seems to be in order. And I performed decently Round 1. The only thing I can think of is that I'm a non-traditional applicant? And maybe the schools have enough of those?

isnt today the deadline for R1 deposits. Looks like some of the people who interviewed early may start hearing decisions in the next couple of weeks if the comments about decisions in late feb / early march are true. should make for a nervous four weeks for those of us who dont hear any thing..

One of the admissions officers posted on the Yale Discussion Board the other day that some decisions likely WOULD be released before the April 2 date

Obviously doesn't mean they definitely will, but on can hope. I also interviewed awhile ago. A month has already been a pretty agonizing wait, so I'm hoping they don't wait until the deadline!

Congratulations on the interview invite. It's a little surprising that only one person received admit in R2 so far. I am sure so many of you guys are waiting to hear back one way or another. I've been there before and there's no cure except an unexpected phone call from the admissions office with an admissions offer. Try not to over-analyze the situation. Speculations can only worsen the anxiety.

a silly question though,its been making me pretty nervous

what if the i/v call email goes into the spam and one fails to notice it..
