Waitlisted at Ross. That's cool, got into my #1 and #2 so I'm ok with it!

A big CONGRATS to all the admits and fellows!!!

Those those still waiting, hold on! There's still hope!!

And if doesn't work out, don't be discouraged, give yourself a month or two break, then look at your whole app, identify weaknesses and work on them. Last year, after much work I decided to wait another year to apply. It was hard finding the motivation to go at it again but I knew it would all be worth it should I succeed. The year was worth it, I improved my GMAT, got more experience at work, made more connections with the admins, reconnected with my references, contributed more to the non-profits, I was involved with and everything worked out great this year!!

Haha, I am, but I had just called it a day and hadn't looked at my e-mails until I got home yesterday. It sat there for a whole hour unopened. Didn't update this site til today, too busy calling loved ones yesterday.

Other than those who received a fellowship, has anyone heard from Darden? Any idea as to when we'll be notified of their final decision?

I got a partial scholarship at Michigan so the practical financially concerned side of me says take the full ride @ Emory, but my heart says $#^$#Q%#QR##%@#!! (aka I don't know what to do) lol. I'm going to pray on it and let the Lord guide me to the right place.

I understand how hard that is. I would choose partial scholarship at favorite school than full ride at non-favorite school. But if I didn't get ANY scholarship at favorite school, I'd consider trying to fall in love with the non-favorite school with the full ride. All these schools we applied to are amazing in some way. Once you start school, the non-favorite school will feel like home and fit like a glove. Many MBA alums who didn't choose the full ride say they wish they did for some reason. Something to think about. That $110k salary can end up a $70k salary because of that monthly loan payment. Crazy!

Same with NYU to my knowledge. I don't know anyone who found out via phone.
Some people on this board indicated they got a call about the fellowhsip from NYU.
Yea I saw that. Only 2 ppl so far with fellowships at Stern. 1 got a call and the other who heard about 2 wks before the rest of us not sure how s/he heard. It's also odd that so many ppl in this thread got accepted and only 1 person got a fellowship call.
I know two people who got the call from NYU last Thurs about admit and full fellowship...and I don't think they're on this forum. A third person got the call from NYU mentioning the partial fellowship.

I am going to decline my full ride to UNC as I am attending Ross with Consortium fellowship. Hopefully, this helps somebody in this forum looking to get into Kenan-Flagler with fellowship. Good luck!

Yaaay, Perror! Let's hope what you did is contagious. I withdrew from schools and remind friends who have made their decisions to do the same too. There are many people on the forum and elsewhere who are waiting just to get ONE admit or admit with fellowship that we could release a spot for.

Same thing happened last year. Bunch of NYU admits, VERY few fellowship offers (I was one of them). I'm guessing they don't have many to give out.

I've been away from the boards for awhile but CONGRATS to all those who have received good news! If people are interested in Marketing recruiting through the Consortium or want to know more about Ross, feel free to reach out! I'm happy to help with any info to make your decision easier.

By the way, you guys and gals talk ALOT. 100+ pages. I thought I'd try and catch-up and just stopped after a few pages. :-)

I have never considered this, but it sounds like the right thing to do for my fellow applicants whom I wish success to. I got my phone call about my FS at my #1. My issue, and this may be overly cautious, is that I have not been provided with the written offer yet, which I expect next week or so. I would feel much more comfortable withdrawing my other apps if this were the case. But I think the notion is thoughtful and valid.

Adcoms, if you're reading this, you should go ahead and communicate your decisions, without further ado, so that people can go ahead and accept/reject your offer so that everyone can get a fair shot at the FS's.

Need some advice: I applied to Duke R1 and was accepted. They want me to make a decision by Mar 22nd, but since I got into Ross I want to go visit there. I can't do that before March 22. Can I ask for an extension? What do I need to say? Has anyone else asked for an extension?

It depends on the school. They are not going to rescind an offer because you want an extension. Worse they can say is no, but I would ask.
