Has anyone gotten into a consortium school and NOT gotten a membership?
I got into one of the schools who said I don't get a membership, much less a fellowship. I've been internationally recognized as a proponent of minority education and nonprofit and I think I wrote a pretty convincing essay- as a woman and first generation immigrant who has played key roles in diverse nonprofits since she was 14. My current work puts me smack dab with Title One students at local schools. I just don't get why I'm not even getting the membership. It doesn't cost them anything to put me in the consortium network. This seriously throws a wrench in everything I wanted to do at school and as a career and makes me question whether or not it would be a worthwhile opportunity to invest 100k in an education that doesn't recognize my interests or goals.
Did my recommender screw me over?
I already know applying through the consortium screwed me in schools #3, #5 and #6. I wonder if I should just repeat this process next year and apply non-Consortium.
