5pm: I flew into Burlington, then took a Greyhound bus from the airport to White River Junction, Vt. It may be more convenient for you, as your hostel is located in Vermont. The transfer from airplane to bus was seemless and White River Junction was a 10 minute taxi ride from campus. The bus stop provides the telephone numbers of several local taxi services, which might provide a better means of conveyance to your hostel.

Regarding attire: if you're traveling from a tropical climate, you should definitely invest in proper outerwear. It was cold when I visited in November. A suit is a must for your interview. It doesn't have to include a skirt though. A suit consisting of a jacket with pants will suffice. If you prefer wearing boots, bring a smart bag to the interview in which you can fit a pair of heels to change into. Air toward the side of formality rather than comfort.

Hi, Happy new Year!

Guys I am in a big trouble, can you help me please?!

My second recommender has problems with internet and can not access the network, thus we is unable to sumbit his recommendation to Tuck.
My question is how it is crucial both recommendations be sent before the deadline? Is it possible to send the recommendation after the deadline?

Call the Adcom and explain your situation. I'm sure others have been in your shoes before. If Tuck is willing to accept a hard copy of your recommendation (and you should ask before assuming they are), I'd give your recommender a (prepaid) FedEx envelope and ask them to overnight it to Tuck. As long as your recommendation isn't more than a few days late, I'm sure you'll be fine.

As others have said your only true guidance will be from admissions. I believe you are still able to submit your application and pay the fee. Make sure you do that to prove that you submitted on time.

My Submission Status says "submitted", but below that it says that my Application Status is "completed."

I suspect the former means the applicant has hit the submit button on his or her application and the latter means that all of the various components of the application (transcripts, GMAT score, application fee, two recommendations, etc.) have been received. I can actually see when each component of my application was received.

I hope that helps.

I missed a call from a 603 area code on 12/30/10. I did a double take before realizing I was more than a month away from decisions being released. The caller didn't leave a message and the number was unlisted, but I'm pretty sure it was just Dawna Clarke calling to wish me an early Happy New Year.
