When will new interview slots be released? I saw an available slot three days ago. I just got permission to take days off from work, and I tried registering today and the slot is gone.

Is there any chance that new slots will be available? I registered to get on the waitlist, but what are the chances of getting off the waitlist?

First time posting. I applied Nov. Round; I missed the EA deadline because of one of my recs. and my wedding the week before the deadline. Now, I'm having to fill out two to three additional applications to hedge my bet.

If you haven't visited Tuck, I encourage you to do so. When I visited last September, I had a chance to participate in a role playing exercise with a few Tuck students in front of a 60+ person class. It was a great visit from start to finish. Waiting until Feb. 4th is going to be torture.

Regarding the on-campus interview, does the on-campus interview have to be initiated before you submit the application, or will the interview count anytime, even after you submitted your application?

I know people who applied at the EA Round and made the on-campus interview on the first week of November.

I think it depends on your round. That info is available on the school's website.

Does anyone know how notifications are handled? I've read that Tuck calls admitted applicants. Does anyone know whether that occurs on the notification deadline or a few days before?

I know people who applied at the EA Round and made the on-campus interview on the first week of November.

That is odd because I called the Tuck admissions office today and they told me that if you visit the campus to interview after you submitted a Round 1 application, the interview will not be added to your file.

Your statement directly contradicts what the office said. I am a bit confused. I applied in R1 on November 10th.

I am uncertain on whether to proceed with the December interview or patiently wait for an interview invite. Should I visit in December or not? It doesn't make sense to visit and interview if that effort doesn't count for anything.

There are deadlines for applicat-initiated interviews. I suggest you to follow the official information (website, adcom...)

It doesn't make sense for you to do it if it doesn't count. However, if you have extra time and money, it's always a good idea to visit and get connected with the Adcom because it may give you a tiebreaker. Just my opinion.

Makes sense mba2011app. The only thing that confuses me is that according to MBAUncle, EA applicants were able to get interviews added to their files after they submitted their applications. As per your Tuck deadline link, 10/13 is the last day to interview for EA applicants and 11/10 is the last day to interview for R1 applicants so MBAUncle's statement should not have been possible.

I have only one personal day left and am willing to fly/drive 5.5 hours to visit Tuck, but only if I have the guarantee that my interview will count towards my application, which the website or AdCom has not provided. For me, a tiebreaker isn't enough to warrant a visit when the last personal day could be better served in spending time with family during Thanksgiving.

So I shall be patiently waiting for an invite.... Thanks for the info guys!

I remember Tuck admission sent out an email saying they were extending the interview deadlines for EA. I think that's why interviews for EA candidates were added after submission.

Hey ppop, can you quote that email? I can't seem to find it in my inbox.

Guys,

Last week I had my off campus interview with Alumni.
The guy has worked in the banking industry all his life, so the interview as really tough. He was really aggressive.

Basic questions such as tell me about your life, why MBA, why now, why Tuck, leadership and teamwork experiences.
At least half of the interview we spent on the "Why Tuck" question. In addition, he asked me which other programs I was applying, so asked me to compare Tuck to these programs. This was really unusual.

I believe I did pretty well, I showed a deep knowledge about Tuck's program, life in Hanover.
Let's hope for the best.

Tuck's just opened more on-campus interview dates in January and February. Anyone will go during that time?
I've already self-initiated mine near the end of Jan. Hope to see some of you there. :-D
I'm pretty lonely coz I see no one from my country apply to Tuck.
But I really love Tuck and wanna be one of Tuckies. I also love to live in the mountains haha.

I'm a R1 (Nov 10th) applicant; i.e. already applied/interviewed. Is it really just a waiting game now until Feb?? So far away...
