Please add me to the roll call as well. I'm going for the January round, and my app is finished but for my recommendations. Visited the campus last month (unofficially) and have an on-campus interview scheduled for early December.

I would imagine most of those reading this thread don't need a lot of encouragement to apply/visit, but Tuck wasn't even on my radar before my girlfriend and I stumbled upon it during a visit to New England. It went from not on my list of schools to the top... Beautiful campus, friendly/intelligent people - a jewel in the mountains. I definitely would recommend visiting - it is far removed from your typical, urban setting.

Tuck's just opened more on-campus interview dates in January and February. Anyone will go during that time?
I've already self-initiated mine near the end of Jan. Hope to see some of you there. :-D
I'm pretty lonely coz I see no one from my country apply to Tuck.
But I really love Tuck and wanna be one of Tuckies. I also love to live in the mountains haha.

Where are you applying from?

I'm from Thailand :-D

re-applicants are only invited for an interview if the AdCom feels they do not have enough information from both the applications combined and also the previous interview.

I know not fair, but this is what I learnt from Adcom at recent Tuck event.

Ok, but does it mean that a reapplicant (who was interviewed last year) could be accepted without the interview invitation this year?

Tuck is similar to Kellogg in this way:

You can be accepted w/o an interview. You can also be waitlisted w/o an interview.

It doesn't matter if your a reapp or not.

This is a new piece of information to me. I thought that both Tuck and Kellogg interview 100 % of accepted students. At least, that's what it says in their profiles of BW site?

Yes. In case of re-applicants you can be accepted. denied or w/listed without an interview.

For statistics and publication purposes- Re-applicants were interviewed previous year.. so still noone gets admitted w/o an interview?? Make sense??

All re-applicants keep faith, this year they have not invited any for an interview unless you went to Tuck for a self-initiated again.

Whoa!! interesting piece of information on reapps for the current admissions cycle. How did you lay your hands on this piece, adcom or some other reliable source? Btw I telephoned Dia draper of Tuck adcom 2 days back and the only thing she told me was that it wasn't uncommon (read not 100% negative) for reapps "who have had an interview last admission cycle" to not get invited for an interview this round. I just hope that this is actually the case.

Thanks between for all the information ppl. Anybody hear anything, please be generous enough to share :)

I was at London info session last week where I heard a conversation where some reapplicant asked the very question to AdCom member and details are my inference of what they discussed.

Does tuck place a strong emphasis on the quant score on the GMAT? Does it have to be over the eightieth percentile? I am just under it.

Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Happy thanksgiving everyone!

I visited the campus in October. While my visit, I sat in on the admission information session. During the session, I recall hearing over 70th percentile on your quantitative section by the admissions officer.

Since you are just under 80th percentile, you should not have to worry about your quantitative score.

Atleast they can send the formal dings before Dec 17th, So that we can be doubly sure that we are dinged.
