The procedure is that after all interviews have been conducted, evaluation will happen, and decision will come. They evaluate the entire pool, to make the decision.

Whether you're invited, or self-initiated, pool is going to be evaluated after all interviews have ended.

Thanks! Sorry I was so confused. Any idea what % of applicants do self-initiated? Going into this process I was under the impression that most do, but now I think that self-initiates are the minority.

Minority, at least for international applicants

interesting info.. So what do they do before interviews: preliminary screening of applicants, choosing to whom to offer interview invite?!

P.S. There were stories (urban legeneds?!) about Tuck admits who had no interview at all.

This came up during my visit.

The adcomm rep said this is possible (admit w/o interview). Whether this happens or not, I don't know.

Murphy's is just off the main green and has pretty solid food and a nice atmosphere. Apparently a number of Tuckies frequent the Canoe Club too, but you're probably best off letting people eat their meals in peace. Lou's is a popular breakfast spot right across the street from Murphy's and Molly's at the other end of downtown Hanover (all of two blocks) is another popular option for lunch or dinner.

As small as Hanover is, there are a plethora of dining options available, inclusing Thai, Chinese, Indian and Japanese restaurants. I've never been, but I think Yuri Yuri or Yami, or something like that, is supposed to have good sushi.

If you want to pick up some groceries, check out the Co-Op in Hanover or the one in Lebanon, near Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Have a great time in Hanover and best of luck with your interview at Tuck.

Maybe you can attend the Tucktail tomorrow! Usually Tuckies follow that with a visit to Murphy`s, which has a decent beer choice...

No worries. I hope you find something more to your liking.

While you're in Hanover, if you're looking to kill some time, you should check out the main library on campus (Baker-Berry). There is a pretty cool mural in the basement by the Mexican muralist Orozco. I think it was done during the Great Depression. The special collections library (Rauner?) next door is pretty cool architecturally if you poke your head inside.

Good luck with your interview and your application to Tuck. Tuck is a unique program. I've really struggled to find other programs that offer a similar MBA experience...in case I'm not accepted to Tuck.

not sure if anyone has any reliable data for this question, but what kinds of data points are collected from the interview that wasn't already in our written essays? Sure, they can assess interpersonal communication skills, but I wouldn't even know how to write up a 20 minute discussion with 10 minute question/answer if I were the interviewer.

I wonder how many "candidate was a little nervous" the Adcom gets every year.

Communication skills, personality, or any other data points from the application that raised questions. Look at it like a job interview. So much of it is whether they (the school or employer) like you.

Count me in for January round! Had self initiated interview this past weekend w/ a tuck 2nd year. Very friendly, and just like the clearadmit wiki posts suggested.

Well it is a cookie thing probably

You have to wait some time or delete cookies in the browser settings before you open the apply yourself page to login to your session with another school

Try another browser and see if it opens and works...
