Anyhow, I would like to hear from my fellow R2 applicants around here. How are all of you doing?
I applied to 6 schools, 5 consortium, 1 non-consortium.
(ranked #1)Tuck - Self Initiated Interview
(#2) Haas- haven't heard from them, but i've been told they haven't started releasing invites yet.
(#3) Darden - Have not heard anything besides lognin info. They've been extending invites for well over a week.(#4) Ross - Invited to interview in the first wave, complete interview Jan.22.
(#5) Yale - Have not heard anything besides login info. Like Darden, they've been extending invites for well over a week.Other:
Wharton - They haven't released invites yet for US R2 applicants. We're expecting some US invites to be released today, but Wharton is Wharton. Even though my Wharton essays were by far the best of all my essays, and I've been told that they were really solid essays.....I still got a 680 gmat on my profile. So while I don't think I should *expect* invite,...I'm hoping that I'm a good darkhorse (no consortium pun intended) candidate.
The two schools in red are the ones i'm currently worrying about most.
I ranked Yale last, and judging by what others have been saying, this will probably lead to a ding because they're sensitive about rankings.
Darden is the school that I'm really most worried/disappointed about. I thought Darden was probably my best shot at an interview,....like I said my GMAT is 680, while thats not great, its solidly within Darden's range,..and I have (what I think is) an interesting personal background and a focused career path thats not generic. I felt that I really had a good chance at an interview w/ them.
My Ross invite came VERY quickly,..as I said,..first wave (around Jan. 18).....so that got me really confident,...and then to not receive any invites since has been stressful.
