I applied to Anderson and haven't even got a confirmation, I did get confirmation from all the other schools. Tuck sent a non-generic email - I say that because the email contained spelling & grammar errors.

On the issue of litening the mood, I bribe my 3 year old son with new toys if he learns new words, I guess I'm already preparing him for cgsm, I should've put that in my mission essay.

Has anyone ever seen a 'class profile' or 'class statistics' for the Consortium
See the attached file. The numbers from last year's class have yet to be released, but these numbers should give you a sense of the general profile of admitted students.

Any advice from R1 applicants? How was your experience in R1?
I only received generic updates until I was invited to interview January 5, which was 20 days before decisions were released. My advice is to do what you can to take your mind off of it. I couldn't, but I wish I had because it would've saved me a lot of grief.

Did u get admitted to any of your choices?

Anyone hear from Olin (Washington University in St. Louis)?

I was CGSM1 to Olin, and it took me until January to get the invite/admit. No idea how they are processing CGSM2 if that's your round.

Anyhow, I would like to hear from my fellow R2 applicants around here. How are all of you doing?

I applied to 6 schools, 5 consortium, 1 non-consortium.

(ranked #1)Tuck - Self Initiated Interview
(#2) Haas- haven't heard from them, but i've been told they haven't started releasing invites yet.
(#3) Darden - Have not heard anything besides lognin info. They've been extending invites for well over a week.
(#4) Ross - Invited to interview in the first wave, complete interview Jan.22.
(#5) Yale - Have not heard anything besides login info. Like Darden, they've been extending invites for well over a week.

Other:

Wharton - They haven't released invites yet for US R2 applicants. We're expecting some US invites to be released today, but Wharton is Wharton. Even though my Wharton essays were by far the best of all my essays, and I've been told that they were really solid essays.....I still got a 680 gmat on my profile. So while I don't think I should *expect* invite,...I'm hoping that I'm a good darkhorse (no consortium pun intended) candidate.

The two schools in red are the ones i'm currently worrying about most.

I ranked Yale last, and judging by what others have been saying, this will probably lead to a ding because they're sensitive about rankings.

Darden is the school that I'm really most worried/disappointed about. I thought Darden was probably my best shot at an interview,....like I said my GMAT is 680, while thats not great, its solidly within Darden's range,..and I have (what I think is) an interesting personal background and a focused career path thats not generic. I felt that I really had a good chance at an interview w/ them.

My Ross invite came VERY quickly,..as I said,..first wave (around Jan. 18).....so that got me really confident,...and then to not receive any invites since has been stressful.

I rushed my Wharton app before boarding a plane from Africa and forgot to fill in my extra curricular page :wall
Was pissed at first- but now with all the stresses of this ridiculous process, I find it oddly hilarious.

I'm another R2 applicant:

1. Haas - Application Received
2. Darden - Application Received
3. McCombs - Application Received

I'm also worrying about Darden interviews, is there a generally accepted cut off by which we shouldn't expect to receive an interview invitation?

I've already got enough excess forehead to that I could donate some to the poor, now the stress of this whole waiting game has my hairline heading for the hills! I'm as engage as a retiree and about as productive as a celibate porn star at my job because I keep checking this forum and my email, knowing damn well my phone is set to alarm if I get a new message..... I'm starting to go nuts over here!

From the looks of it, I have the least communicative schools making up most of my list (Haas, UCLA, Texas.....) :?

Is it still quite for most RD2 apps?

Haas hasn't released ANY invites yet for R3 (R2 consortium).....you don't have to worry about haas.

If you haven't heard from Darden or Yale,...then now may be the time to start worrying since they've been sending invites for a good while now.

With Darden, there is a lot of time. Decision date is March 28 I believe.

With Yale, D day is Feb 21 I think. There's almost no time left :(

Ok,..i heard they haven't...so maybe they've only released a few? I know the R3 folks in the Haas thread seem to think invites haven't gone out for R3 (equivalent to Consortium R2).

Technically there's a lot of time w/ Darden,..but I heard they sent out a batch early on,..and ever since its been a trickle of invites. Many folks seem to believe it will continue that way for the rest of the month. So technically, yes, we could still get invited but the chances seem to be diminishing greatly.

I applied consortium round 1 for Haas and went to the Super Saturday interview this past weekend. They specifically said that Round 2 decisions, including consortium, would be given on a rolling basis from mid-Feb to March 1st. This is consistent with the Haas admissions site (https://mba.haas.berkeley.edu/admissions ... rtium.html).

"Consortium Deadlines Deadlines for Fall 2011 are November 15, 2011 and January 5, 2012. Decision notification for both rounds will be by March 1, 2012."

I don't think Haas uses R3 dates for consortium round 2. Round 3 would mean an April 12 decision date, which I believe is after the consortium draft.
