Well - I b**ched and moaned on page 57 of this forum just a few hours ago, so I guess "the squeaky wheel DOES get the grease"...... I just got my invite to interview with McCombs! I was starting to think my application was a dud.... all the factual knowledge we have about maintaining patience just flies out the window during this process.

I also had my Kellogg interview today. Originally wasn't excited about it because I didn't feel as if I had to pass any particular threshold to get this interview since Kellogg interviews everyone. It lasted about an hour and a half, which didn't feel bad because the guy wasn't drilling me with questions.

Anyway, it seems if you give a great deal of detail when describing your experiences interviewers tend to veer away from their original line of questioning. Has anyone else seen that?

I applied consortium round 1 for Haas and went to the Super Saturday interview this past weekend. They specifically said that Round 2 decisions, including consortium, would be given on a rolling basis from mid-Feb to March 1st. This is consistent with the Haas admissions site.

"Consortium Deadlines Deadlines for Fall 2011 are November 15, 2011 and January 5, 2012. Decision notification for both rounds will be by March 1, 2012."

I don't think Haas uses R3 dates for consortium round 2. Round 3 would mean an April 12 decision date, which I believe is after the consortium draft.

Wow. Then I'm officially screwed w/ Haas. If they're going to start crankin out admissions decisions next week possibly,...how is it that no (atleast non that i've noticed) consortium R2 Haas applicants have stepped forward w/ invites? Its been really quiet w/ the Haas folks here. Or did i miss all their posts?

Also,..first wave of US Wharton invites went out today,..and i wasn't among them.

So right now its looking like a Yale and Haas ding. Darden,..who knows.

I'm trying to sit back and be chill here, but some of this can be super confusing. I did end up getting a Wharton invite yesterday, but still absolutely not a word about an interview invite from Haas or Yale and I think I'm a good fit for both of those schools.

So mooze...I don't think you're screwed! The timing is getting pretty tight though for consortium and I'm getting a little worried too. You are not alone. From stalking this forum, it sounds like Yale has had some interview activity, but Haas has had minimal if no R2 CGSM movement.

I think Yale is all but a rap,...I mean if they're making decisions on Feb.21....it doesn't look good. Not all too suprised as I ranked them last. But Haas is really a mystery. If anybody can shed light on whats going on with CGSM2 Haas folks,...please do. From the schedule,...we should be deep into the interview process but i have yet to come across a cgsm2 who's been invited to interview w/ them. I've only heard of one invite, anectdotedly from someone on this board who knows someone,..but thats all.

Darden is what worries me....i thought i had a good chance w/ them.

Since most of the info on this board is hearsay I have no problem putting this out there.... I'm Haas round 2 cgsm and they emailed me last week for a new copy of my grad school transcript and told me if I didn't get it in by feb 10 they would move me to the next round. The admission coordinator also said Feb 10th is when they finish putting the apps together and then fully focus on evaluating them.

Not sure if that info helps anyone but at least you can gather from this that up until today they are still putting apps together. As someone mentioned earlier haas has people re-enter all the cgsm apps manually (whatever that means).

Congrats on being invited!!

Interesting,...so what does "fully focusing" on the apps Feb.10th mean? I'm not sure this clears it up much more. All we know now is that they haven't reviewed ALL the apps,...but obviously they've reviewed some. I think the main question (and anxiety) for us still waiting is whether they've reviewed the bulk of the apps and roughly what portion of invites have yet to go out.

But thanks Qwill,...so far (atleast to me) you're the only first hand account of a CGSM2 invite on this board.

No I was not invited, they just were putting my app together and my grad school transcript wasn't clear enough for them.

I wish I was invited :0

Ahh,..sorry, got confused because Haas requires official transcripts once interviews are extended. So still no first hand account of a cgsm2 Haas invite?. This is like looking for a unicorn.

Yeah they only asked for it to be faxed to them, you were like me. When I got the email I was like WOOOHOOOOO! They want my transcript!!!! But then I kept reading the email and was like SH!T.... They haven't even started reviewing my app.

It took me over 90 minutes for the fax to go through because the fax line was busy and I had no busy redial on my fax machine, so they must've been bombarded. But the ad com member did email me again once she received the fax.

Haas told me the same about entering the apps by hand. The woman said the cgsm apps come to them as a pdf and the adcoms have to literaly re-type all that info for each applicant into their own Berkeley Haas Application system, which takes a very long time. They said that was the biggest hold up and they have one guy who is kind of "in charge" of the consortium applications. When I called they told me they were just now finishing up the RD1's.

When did they tell you they were just finishing up RD1's? Do you think the majority of RD2 invites have yet to go out?

Doesn't Haas have another super saturday coming up in March? I'm assuming next week, CGSM apps my be a big focus for the adcoms at Haas because the have a little leeway with the general RD3 apps and decision dates... just an assumption... especially based on what Qwill said about the Feb. 10th threshold and the fact that they have to crank out truckload of interviews and decisions by March 1st.

from the way it sounded, I don't think any RD2's went out at that time but that was late last week. I can't image they started rolling out a large number of RD2 since then and from the Calling all Haas forum (which I saw you have already been analyzing) it appears the general population RD2 (which aligns with CGSM RD1) are still getting invites. I think we have 2 weeks before fear should set in.... unfortunately. I'd rather be put out of my misery if I'm not getting in.

I'm a Rd.1 Consortium applicant to Haas, just gave them a call and they said Rd1'ers "may be invited to interview all the way up to March and they do place people on the waitlist without having been interviewed."

If nothing else, that leaves me hope for a waitlist. They're ranked 4th on my list so it's unlikely I'd end up there anyways. But a waitlist would feel better than a ding, especially coming from such a competitive program.

Ok,..so I think the consensus is that the bulk (if not all) of cgsm2 invites have not been sent,...and cgsm1 folks are still in play.
