Congrats! i have to be honest, though... while i was/am super happy for you that you received an invite... i was happier that there's finally movement with darden's round 2

and so begins my final go-round of "check my email every 2 mins while i anxiously await an interview invite from darden" game

By when does Tuck expect Consortium applicants to initiate interviews? On their website they have no deadline written for Consortium applicants. Does this mean that Consortium applicants are to be invited or that there is a different deadline?

Rackbar,

Depending on what Round you applied in it may be too later to initiate an interview. For Round 1 it's definitely too late, and for Round 2 if it's not too late, it's getting very close. At this point you may have to wait for an invite. It is rare, but don't lose hope.

On a sidenote, welcome to our forum. I encourage you to continue posting and please add yourself to our official Consortium Roll Call by updating your profile in the upper right corner.

Is it possible that some of the veterans on this forum, Round One folks who have interviewed and others who have interviewed volunteer to be 'interview captains' for the Round Two applicants. I suspect in the next two weeks we will be getting a barrage of posts and I hope we can have a few of you out there who are frequent posters and contributors raise your hand when someone needs help.

At least this way we can instruct someone to Private Message you for advice and details related to the interview process. I've interviewed with the following schools:

Johnson
Berkeley
Yale SOM
Tuck
Darden

If anyone has questions related to those schools please PM me. And thanks to the rest of you who step-up as 'Interview Captains'.

I'm a Rd1 applicant and I did phone interviews with Tepper, Kelley, and Johnson. I did an on campus interview with Marshall. And as of Thursday morning I will have done a Skype interview with McCombs.

If any Rd2 people would like to know about my experience with any of those interviews feel free to PM me.

Free of charge while my memories last (except where prohibited by law) :-D

I'm a round 2 applicant. So far I've interviewed with Rochester, Simon and have been admitted with money. I've also interviewed with Duke. Both in person at the schools. I'd be more than happy to talk about my experiences with these schools.

I have upcoming interviews this month with Cornell Johnson and UNC Kenan-Flagler and will post on those interviews after they are through.

I skype interviewed with Tepper and would be happy to answer questions (i am Rd 2).
If you are considering interviewing with them I was told by the lady who scheduled my interview that skype, phone and in person all hold equal weight in the admissions process. That really put me at ease when i realized i couldnt make it to campus.
that might help in deciding how to interview

Thanks, I updated my profile, not sure nothing is showing up. Since there is no Consortium deadline I might just contact admissions for clarity. If anything I'd like to know if there's any point even signing up for an interview at all. Also, do most schools have weekend interviews? I'd feel somewhat irresponsible taking off, but I may have no choice.

Rackbar, make sure you have the privacy settings on your profile so that you can show up in the roll call, and that your application cycle is for 2011 - 2012. Also the interview policies for Tuck go across all types of applicants. They don't distinguish for Consortium. I also don't believe they do weekend interviews. Did you try their website?

For all out there looking for help with upcoming interviews. On the first page at the bottom of the first post you'll see a section called 'Interview Captains', feel free to PM these volunteers for tips and advice on interviews. Also as a way to pay it forward to others please let me know when you completed yours so I can add your name to the list of Captains if you feel so compelled to assist others in their prep.

Folks that have ALREADY COMPLETED INTERVIEWS we need more volunteers to be 'Interview Captains'. Please post in the forum or PM me directly and I will add your handle to the first post. We're here to help and support each other so please volunteer!

Yes, I checked their website when I applied and the applicant-initiated interview was listed as N/A for consortium applicants. Link: tuck[dot]dartmouth[dot]edu/admissions/how-to-apply/important-dates/

Thus, I thought they only invited consortium candidates. Based on what I'm reading on this forum though, it seems their website probably wasn't updated to reflect the new consortium interview policy. Looks like no Tuck for me this year

Applied to 6 Consortium Schools in Rd 2-CMU, Cornell, Emory, Indiana, Texas, Michigan.
Interviews So Far: Cornell, Indiana
No Word From: CMU, Emory, Texas, and Michigan

I hear that the second round (and last i think) of Consortium interviews for Michigan will go out on Friday. Based on responses here, Some Rd 2 interviews for McCombs and CMU have gone out. I haven't seen any feedback on Emory interviews.

This forum has been a god send. No more forum stalking, and more participating. Good luck everyone!
