Are MBA applications to B schools down this year for the class of 2023? What do you guys think? According to gmatclub decision tracker, HBS had 325 applicants in Round 1 last year for the class of 2022. But this year, for the class of 2023, it has 136 applicants as of today, the last day of Round 1 deadline. A similar pattern can be observed for other schools as well. Does this mean applications are down compared to last year? or will more applicants update on gmatclub decision tracker at a later date? Please share your thoughts!

Where are these statistics coming from? Also, Decision tracker is to be uploaded manually, usually students, especially the smart ones, don't share their statistics until they get an admit. Quite frankly that is insecurity and also, this time the people applying to harvard are much more inactive on forum. I don't know how to ask everyone to post

RajaHuli The 325 applicants in R1 for the class of 2022 have been aggregated over time. I guess, if we observe the number of class'22 R1 applicants on the deadline in Sep 2019, you would find a number closer to the number of class'23 R1 applicants as it is today. So, I wouldn't look into that too much but Yes, the number of people posting here is a bit low compared to the last year. Also, if you have submitted your application in Round 1, can you update your decision tracker?

Good question and thanks for your answer workout , is the activity for this time of the year for other B-school threads at par with previous years, or there seems to be am overall drop?

Following is the comparison of the number of posts made(in the past week) last year vs this year across top schools. Notice, these are the posts made in the entire school's forum and not just the Class of 2023 topic/thread. I see that the numbers are pretty comparable to last year. Thanks for the answer workout and Businessconquerer I am still researching colleges. I will apply in Round 2. I will update the decision tracker when I finalize colleges.

Still no blog post about when they’re releasing interview invites / dings. Losee posted this info last year on Sept 25th and even earlier in previous years. Anxiety levels are rising... Posted from my mobile device

uggh I know! Part of me just wants them to release the invites/dings without the heads up though- I feel like the anxiety will be even worse in the days leading up to it.

I'm just operating under the assumption that invites will come out the week of the 5th since they said "early October" - though I agree it would be nice to have confirmation of that.
